Emory's pov

So last Friday after my attack, Alessandro insisted I came with him to his pack for safety purposes while he subtly carry out evidence to catch the bastard that attacked me. I had spent three nights at Alessandro’s pack and it was finally time to resume all the things I paused to be here. Reality had finally kicked in.

"You know you could just stay here for today and leave tomorrow right? You really need to rest because I know these past days have been hectic for you" he told me but I shook my head, making my eyes crave more sleep.

"I can't stay Alec, I have to go to my pack immediately. There are pending matters that need to be attended to and I can't leave my workers to sort them out alone, I like to be involved and informed of every development and change going on every day" I said to him and he sighed.

"Your workers are capable Emory, you don't have to always worry so much. They've got you, just like you have their back too" Alec insisted but I was still adamant about leaving today. I couldn't stay with peace of mind in his pack with him when I knew I had work to do in my pack and it would be more stressful for me to go to work directly from his home.

"I know but I really can't stay Alessandro, I really have to leave today, I'm sorry" I insisted and he just nodded once he saw he couldn’t change my mind.

"Very well then, if that's what you want," he said to me "but promise me you'll get enough rest once you get back to your pack," he said and I nodded at him

"Of course Alessandro, I'll get enough rest. Don't worry about that" I said and gave him a quick peck on his cheek. I made to get down from the bed and leave for the bathroom but Alex held me back and yanked me back into the bed beside him. I turned to meet his gaze; it was intense and he was staring at me hungrily

"There’s something I want from you before you leave," he said, his hands running over my body again. I smiled teasingly at him and acted like I had no idea
