Emory's POV
It didn't take me long to arrive at Gilbert's pack since I went with my private helicopter. I was skeptical about my decision all through my ride and often, I had the intuition to turn back to him but then I thought to whom shall I return to?
I quickly brought out my phone and texted Gilbert and thankfully for me, his reply came in almost immediately.
"Do not worry, I'm in that area where you'd land so expect me to come to pick you up. wait for me" a flush of goosebumps flushed over me over the idea that, he didn't ask me what the matter was but was willing to come pick me up. I sighed in contentment and folded my hand across my chest while I waited for my knight is shining armor to come save me.
