I arrived home, my body numb from dancing so much. Was Lucas a jerk for what he did? Absolutely. But his stupidity made me enjoy the party, something I couldn't have done by Venus' side.
I opened the door and turned on the light, half-expecting to find the scumbag here. I could have gone straight to Lucas’ place since I would need to be there in less than three hours. But Venus mentioned Edison was up on the heights, so I decided to go home to see if I could find him and put an end to whatever he thought he was starting with his threats to harm Venus.
Don’t judge me, I’m not a bad person. Venus showed me she wasn’t a real friend. She wasn’t there for me when I needed her most. So, why should I submit to a cheap threat to save her life? I’m going to think about myself first.
