ON OUR WAY IN, we had seen only a small section of this huge hall, but when Jayten turned on the light, all of it became visible.
The pilot turned on the outside viewscreens, and all of us just gaped at the huge size.
“There must have been an entire town in here,” Telaris said.
The hall went up many floors, with galleries along all the levels. The floating platforms occupied mostly the sides of the hall. Some were empty, some contained small aircraft.
The ones we passed were all covered in a grey layer of dust.
“Look, they move aside,” Deyu said.
It was true. As our aircraft slowly moved through the hall, the platforms drifted aside.
