Chapter Seventeen - Data Processing Horace awoke later that morning to see Jackson beaming down at him. “Rise and shine, old chap! Gwen has got our breakfast ready, and she’s just about to put it on the table!” Horace sat up and groaned, feeling almost as stiff as he had after the first day with Corporal Jenkins in the training camp. The appetizing aroma of fried bacon invigorated him rather quickly however, especially when Gwen appeared from the other room at the end of the main cabin, carrying a large tray. “Here it is, boys,” she called. “Hope you enjoy it. It’s not quite a good English breakfast this morning because I’m out of sausages and baked beans at the moment, but there are two fried eggs with the bacon and some hot buttered toast for each of you.
