I stared at Alpha Sherman, my mouth slightly open as his question registered in my brain. Did he just ask if I was attracted to women?
"No! I mean... I'm straight," I blurted out, feeling heat rush to my cheeks. "Not that there's anything wrong with liking women, of course! I just meant my admiration for Sofie is purely professional and—"
A sudden burst of laughter cut me off.
Mason was practically doubled over, his shoulders shaking with mirth.
"Oh my goddess," he wheezed, drawing the attention of nearby wolves. "You are absolutely adorable."
My face burned hotter than a supernova.
I glanced at Alpha Sherman, only to find him glaring at Mason with an expression that could make an Alpha back down.
