Stuart's status made people afraid of him and few who knew him loved him despite the fact that he was cold but Stuart had few problems as a man but one bothered him the most, "his bethroted" he had a girl named "Tracy Mikel". Tracy Mikel and Stuart's parents were very close and also business partners whom out of their friendship got Stuart and their only daughter Tracy Mikel bethroted at a young age and grew up together in the same city but as they grew up Tracy became to full of herself and mean also learning that she was bethroted to Stuart the most respected and noble man gave her more liberty to have her way whenever she did something wrong. Stuart couldn't bear it anymore and decided to end things with her but Tracy would not have it so she had her parents fly her out of the city and hasn't returned in a long while. It got rumoured that Stuart had broken off with her but no one else except Stuart and his best friends knew the truth behind Tracy not appearing in public with him anymore.

Katelyn woke up and rushed into her bathroom, got ready for work and walked down the stairs for breakfast.

"Hmmm!!! my darling look dazzling in those Burberry suit" Mrs Bethly praised as she admired Katelyn's beauty

"C'mon mom, I'm always as beautiful as you" Katelyn teased and her mom beamed with smile

"Off course" Mrs Bethly said and they ate silently before going to work in their separate ways. Arriving at the Empire Katelyn gracefully but slowly walked towards the waiting room as Mr Walter approached her from behind

"Hello"!! he said smiling with his hand stretched out for a shake

"Hi!!!! Mr Walter! so nice to see you again"!! Katelyn said with a broad smile on her face as she took his hand shake

"I'm happy you've accepted to work with us please come with me" he requested and Katelyn walked behind him

"My pleasure" Katelyn said while walking behind him

"This is your office and please don't hesitate to call on me if you need anything, all you have to do is hit the landline phone and I will be at your service" Mr Walter said smiling

"Oh my goodness!!! this is beautiful and so conducive" Katelyn gasped as she walked around the beautiful pink painted office with series of white design in it to show the taste of a girl, a pink official seat, a pink table and two white apple laptop neatly placed on the table, she smiled broadly as she lightly touched the chairs

"Welcome to the empire Ms Scott" Mr Walter said with a smile on his face

"Thank you Mr Walter! I look forward to working with you in this highly esteemed organisation as a good staff" Katelyn said smiling as she stretched her hands out for a shake which Mr Walter took and smiled at her.

Hours later Stuart arrived the empire in his brown Dior suit and walked straight into Katelyn's office

"Good morning Sir Stuart"!! Katelyn greeted with a smile on her face with her head slightly bowed

"Nice outfit; you look great in them" Stuart complimented standing few inches away from her with his hands in his pocket

"Thanks"! Katelyn replied with a blush on her face

"How do you like your office, is it to your taste or you need anything to be replaced"? Stuart asked looking around

"No! no! sir I love it, I mean it's perfect just like this" Katelyn said quickly as she walked towards him in a pleading manner

"Katelyn"? Stuart called softly as he grabbed her wrist

"What"?! Katelyn asked softly, with her gaze focused on her wrist

"I thought we've become

friends"? Stuart asked starring into her eyes

"Off course we are" Katelyn replied with a wave of her head

"Then could you please address me as Stuart and stop addressing me as "Sir" it makes me feel sick whenever you call me that" Stuart said with a gloom look on his face

"I'm sorry sir, sorry Stuart" Katelyn said nervously and they laughed

"that's more like it" Stuart said but just then a knock came on the door and Mr Walter walked in

"Sir the meeting is starts in half an hour" Mr Walter said looking straight at Stuart's face

"Are the documents ready"? Stuart asked

"Yes Sir"!! Walter replied

"Ok then, I will be in my office while you help me give my new assistant details on what to do as part of her training for today and after which I'm to take over" Stuart said with his gaze fixed on Katelyn's face "don't worry Ms Scott, Walter would take good care of you" Stuart said and Katelyn nodded in approval and Stuart left. Mr Walter explained everything in details to Katelyn who listened attentively as if in class.

"My first day at work was awesome mom"! Katelyn happily said to her mom during dinner

"Was it like working at your dad's office"? Mrs Bethly asked smiling

"No mom it was amazing and Stuart took really good care of me today, he got me launch despite the fact that he wasn't at the empire, he had his personal chef cook me something lovely and yummy to eat" Katelyn said with a broad smile on her face as she took a bite of her chicken pot pie

"I told you he's more lovely than you think" Mrs Bethly said and winked at Kate who rolled her eyes

"He's still trying to apologize mom and I have already forgiven him that whish someone could show him I already did

"No baby! that's not what is going on right here, I think what's going on, is that Stuart is trying to be the nice person that he is, that's all" Mrs Bethly said playfully which made Katelyn giggle

"Mom!! I never said Stuart was bad person"!! Katelyn yelled

"Well you did sweetheart, you were like that man is a monster, how dare he take advantage of me"? Mrs Bethly mimicked which got Katelyn twitching her brow in laughter

"Hahaha!!!! I wasn't sounding like that and I never said those horrible words about anyone so please mom leave me alone" Katelyn pleaded

"Alright sweetheart"! katelyn's mom said shrugging as they silently ate

Sitting in my room, I got a call which I took

"Speak"!! I ordered in a cold tone

"A new female staff has been recruited in the empire as the assistant director" the voice at the other end

"What relationship do they have"? I asked with a dim look in my eyes

"Nothing suspicious for now ma'am but I'm still keeping an eye on them" the voice said

"Make it quick" I said and hanged up the call while releasing a deep sigh. "You got a new staff huh, we will see about that" I said and poured the remaining wine in the glass into my mouth
