CHAPTER 3: CLASH OF WILLSSARAH WAITED FOR THE LIEUTENANT to leave the room before she let the smile she’d been holding back turn up the corners of her lips. It was cruel, but she couldn’t help it. The man had walked into her clinic and expected her to just drop everything to fly off with him to the US. And the way he’d spoken so matter-of-factly about it, it was like he didn’t see the need for her work there at all. Well, after a few hours, he and his men might be happy to leave on their own—especially when they discover the stack of dirty supplies that needed to be cleaned in the storage room where the days’ bed sheets, washcloths and bed pans.
