Chapter One: The Beginning

868 Words
Have you ever felt like life is too perfect? Like you are living in a movie, but only reenacting the good parts. That was how you made me feel like we were living the most perfect part of a romance film. Little did I know it was a lie. We were the farthest thing from perfect. You had been dating my best friend for the past five months. Emma would break up with you, get with another guy, then came running back to you because she realized what she had lost. I never thought it was fair that she would come back expecting you to be waiting for her. Emma had broken up with you again July 27th, 2018. That night you texted me about meeting up the next day. You wanted to meet up at the pond that was about a quarter mile down your pothole filled road that was without any shade from the many trees surrounding it. I had walked the one and a half miles to your house, but we never went to the pond. You answered the door and walked me to your bedroom. It had one queen sized bed without a frame around it, you didn’t even have a sheet on the bed. There were plenty of uncovered pillows around your bed and one thick jean blanket. I had been in your room when you, Shellby, and I would go to your house to hang out. As soon as a walked through the sheet you had to cover your door frame rather than a door, you quickly yet gently grabbed my face and we had begun to start heavily kissing. As soon as I had processed what was going on my arms were around your neck, hands in your long, dark red curls. You had taken your lips off mine hesitantly to pick me up so that my legs were wrapped around your waist and placed me on your bed. I was on my back, legs still loosely around your waist, you were on top of me, I couldn’t help but start moaning lightly. You whispered in my ear asking me politely and hopefully ¨do you want to continue?´ I couldn’t put forth words so I shook my head to signal that I wanted to. That day continued perfectly. We watched a movie with your dad, though I cannot remember what it was. He talked about how he had wanted me and you to date since he met me. He said he knew that I would be better for you than her. As your dad and I continued talking I realized that you had been trying to pay attention to the television to distract yourself from the conversation. You still loved her so much, but you didn't want to let anyone know. She had your heart and you hated that you still loved her cause you should have been so mad at her. I could tell that I was not going to have you for too long. ¨So how long have you wanted to get with my son?¨ your dad asks to break the silence. ¨I don't know.¨ he could tell that was a lie. he gave me a look, I understood what he was trying to say. I wasn't getting out of answering the question. I had liked you since we had started talking. Emma gave me your snapchat username on March 26th. When you added me back I tried to talk to you about Emma. She missed you and wanted to get back with you again. You were very set on not getting back with her. That first day we didn't stop talking. We continued talking about how heartbroken she would constantly leave you and other extremely personal things. You had told me about what you wanted for your future. You also talked about how you really liked the girl you were with. she was a junior and you were a freshman. you said what made the relationship so perfect was that she wasn't only your girlfriend, but she was also your best friend. you were extremely excited about the relationship. We finally met in person a couple of days after we had started talking. after school, you walked from the high school to the middle school bus pick up to catch your bus at the middle school rather than the high school. I met you on your walk over so that we would have a couple of minutes to talk. It was raining that day so I took off my glasses. You had a cap on so you didn't have to worry about the little rain droplets making it impossible to see out of your glasses. you were wearing your grey GAP hoodie with your hood over your head. While we walked we talked about our days. You said you gave something to Annabelle that made her really happy, I do not remember what it was though. Once we got to where everyone was waiting for their buses, people had come up to me to ask if I liked you. I told them ¨of course not.¨ but I knew that was a lie.
