Chapter 2: Where could Jasmine be?

Lilly pov

After leaving jasmine and Jason I went into the crowds to perform my actual aim of coming to this party.

A confession.

I have actually had a crush on nathelie since we were in college. At first I thought it was admiration , but it wasn't. With each passing year the feeling grew stronger and stronger.

All this time I have been hiding it from jasmine, because both of them are not fond of each other plus jasmine is my best friend and I didn't want to do anything that would hurt her.

But as it stands now I can't control it anymore, my feelings keeps growing deep and I don't know how to explain how I feel. It gets me confused sometimes.

While trying to maneuver the crowd of dancing and sweaty body, I used my eye to search for nathelie. It didn't take me long before I spotted her talking with some friends, that are not ginny and Helena.

" That's strange". I muttered under my breath. When I almost got close to her I took a deep breath before walking up to her with a broad smile.

" We need to talk". I said instantly regretting why I started with that sentence. It sounded so absurd.

I thought as I lowered my head bitting down on my lower lip.

Surprisingly nathelie, just stood there, extremely calm and patient.

I took another deep breath before looking up at. She had a very tall figure and I was kind of small, if I am to describe myself.

Moving on. Glared at her before saying." I have something to tell you, nathelie". I finally said.

" You, have something to tell me ?".

" Yes,I really have too". I said.

" Go on then".

" I'm afraid this might not be a convinent place for that, why don't we find a much quieter place ". I suggested then she glared me giving me a suspicious look before saying.

"Follow me". She said then I smiled as the led the way.

She led me into the house directly towards a room.

" Is this your room?". I asked then she gave me a confused look.

" I wouldn't take you to my parents room, now will I ?". She said a bit sarcastically then my gaze met the floor.

" No need to be shy ,it's my room. This was the only quite place I could think of, now you can tell me what you wanted to". She said then my gaze met hers as I cleared my throat a bit before advancing to get some words out of my lips.

For some reason this private area was not giving me the confidence I needed, rather dirty thoughts that I obviously didn't need right now.

A slight chuckle escaped nathelies mouth bringing me out of my thoughts as I stared at her.

" What's funny?". I asked

"You're hesitating to tell me what you wanted to tell me at the party , now that we're in a private place". She said then I felt a little bit embarrassed.

"How do you know that".

" It's written all over you". She replied then I stared at her.

She's probably right, I'm really having a hard time here.

"Or do you want to go back to the party". She asked.

"No". I retorted a bit aggressively and I could tell from her expression that she was quite surprised. " What I mean is no, we shouldn't go back. I'd rather say it here". I said then she smiled at me before crossing her arms.

"Ok then, make it quick". She said. Then I took some breathes in and out before preparing myself.

" I-i-. I really, really like you, I've had a crush on you since we met in highschool". I blurted out before gazing at her.

" We met in highschool?". She asked then I nodded.

" You're Well aware that I'm way out of your league?". I nodded yet again.

" And you're also aware that I and your best friend are not on good terms right now". She asked.

"I know that, but she's my friend and I can change her perspective about you". I replied sounding so desperate. I hate sounding like this.

Nathelie nodded her head before taking slow dominate struts towards me, causing me to take slow stumbling steps backwards until my back met with the cold surface of the wall.

" Do you also know that I'm not that good of a person to stay with". She asked glaring straight into my eyes like as though trying to read through me.

I took heavy gulps as I looked up at her. I tried replying her question but each time I open my mouth, I end up saying nothing.

Why I'm I so shy?.

I asked myself still maintaining eye contact.

She placed her hand on the wall as her other hand went towards my hair and tucked it over my ear.

"You haven't answered the question, lilly". She said calling my name as her hand ran down my check to my lips.

"I hope you also know that I am a very bad person to be with". She asked yet again as her thumb caressed my lips.

"I -i ". And when I finally opened my mouth to say something she slammed her lips on mine , devouring my lips like a hungry predator feasting on its prey.

She sucked my lower lip as she pulled my head closer to deepen the kiss. Her tongue exploring my mouth as she devoured my lips.

I was running out of breathe and didn't know what to do . I never knew first kisses, were like this. So passionate and breathtaking.

Nathelie took control as she pulled me in closer while she aimed deeper,but unfortunately I was running out of air and decided to pull away.

Once I did I took several breaths. It felt magical.

I never for once imagined that I'll get to kiss nathelie , my long time crush.

It was like a dream come through.

I lifted my gaze to look at nathelie, but her expression wasn't like what I imagined it to be.

For some reason she didn't seem to feel the same way, I felt after our first kiss. Rather she seemed some what confused and out of words.

"Nathelie,whats wr....

" No, don't, just don't ". She replied moving away from me after I tried to touch her.

I felt heart broken.

What went wrong?. I asked myself.

" Don't follow me". She said her eyes Turing re5f as she left the room immediately, leaving me in absolute wonder.

Wasn't that good?.

Or did I do it wrong?.

Did she see it as a mistake?.

I lot of questions ran through my mind and before I knew it my nose started twitching as tears formed in my eyes.

I clenched my chest against my dress as I felt a sharp pain in my heart.

I sobbed quietly as I slide down the wall to the cold floor.

I hugged my knees seeking comfort as i buried my face in my dress crying.

" She could have told me if anything was wrong". I said in between my sobs.

This felling really hurts, my heart aches so much.

Few hours later............

I went out of nathelies house, my eyes swollen from the amount of tears I've shed. Not like the tears had stopped flowing, it kept on falling from my eyes on its own.

I couldn't help it, I wanted to get the hell out of here. It felt suffocating and I was chocked up in my own emotions. My mind kept on flooding with the memories of some hours ago.

So this was what rejection felt like?.

I asked myself inwardly as the pain from before struck my chest again. My heart shattering into a million pieces as I went into the crowd.

They seemed to be having fun as they danced and rocked their body on the dance floor.

I was about to exit the party when it suddenly hit me.

Jasmine. I recalled as I decided to look for her. I could clearly remember that I left her with Jason before leaving to look for nathelie.

I wonder if she had a much better night than I did. I asked myself as went back to the bar stand where we had our drink.

" Ah, excuse me". I said calling the attention of the bartender. He turned giving me a smiley face.

"Hey, pretty. What can I get for you?". He asked cleaning some of the glass with a black cloth.

I barely smiled back at him before I replied. " Nothing actually, I just wanted to ask if you had seen my friend anywhere, we came here together earlier like a few hours ago, and we ordered a cocktail. I don't know if you can recall that". I asked reading his expression, he seemed to be thinking really hard about it.

"Urm, it's okay if you don't recall, I'll just find her myself, thanks for your help".

"Wait, wait". He said stopping me when I was about to leave. " Don't be in a rush, princess .I never said I didn't recall ,neither did I say I didn't remember your friend.

Yes, I do. I do recall your friend you left her here with Jason, right?". He asked then my eyes widened.

"Yes, yes, I did. You remember him too". I asked then he smirked before replying.

" Of course I do everyone knows him". He said.

" Ok, so do you know where they went". I asked curiously.

" Ah, not really. After taking some drinks here they went to the dance floor, then afterwards they weren't there anymore". He explained.

"Oh, that's a shame". I said as I once again felt lost.

"But, I did hear from a reliable source that they were spotted at the gaming centre with emily. You could check her out there". He said.

"Really!. Thanks a lot, that was of great help". I appreciated. " Wait Emily. You saw her with emily, oh, that must really not be good". I said.

" Why is that?". The bartender asked.

" Well, jasmine kind of has a beef with emily, so they're literally not on good terms as it stands now". I explained then he gave me an aw expression.

" That must really explain your fears". He said then I smiled.

"Nevertheless thank you a lot for the information". I said.

"You're welcome, now get going she won't be that far if you start looking now". He suggested.

" Thanks, I'll get going now". I said then I hurriedly went to the gaming centre struggling through the crowd as I maneuvered my way to the location.

Once I was at the gaming centre my gaze landed on some individuals who were still playing games. And some who were already wasted.

My eyes searched the place and there was no sign of jasmine or Jason. Where were they. I wondered as my eyes searched everywhere.

I went further into the gaming house and searched for jasmine. But still no sign of her. My gaze went to and fro until I spotted Emily instead.

She was playing some games with her friends. I decided to approach her since I couldn't find neither Jason nor jasmine and since she was the last person spotted with them.

I'm hundred percent certain that she has something to do with their disappearance. Cause if there's anyone who can't stand Jasmine's guts it's totally Emily.

I said to myself as I walked up to her.

" Where is jasmine?". I asked then she chocked on her drink glancing at her crew before she scoffed.

" Why are you asking me about your friend. I mean she's your friend you should know where she is, rather than asking me about her". She replied then I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, please drop the act, I know she was with you and Jason before leaving the dance floor. I don't know how but you somehow lures them here. Now tell me where are they". I asked a bit impatient this time.

She laughed poking her mouth with her tongue as she glared at me.

" Look lilly ..."

" Shut it Lara. And stay out of this I'm only here for Emily". I said to her then she gasp looking at me , she wanted to retaliate when Emily stopped her.

" And what makes you think I have a hand in there disappearance ". She asked.

" Because you were last seen with them and because you're capable of anything especially bad things ". I replied then she smiled.

" Not trying to deny the fact that I'm truely capable of bad things, but the next time you try to accuse me of such huge accusations you better have a solid proof". She said throwing my words back at my face.

" You know what Emily, I know you were with them ,because I have a witness who saw you, so stop trying to deny the fact that you were with them. I just wonder what bad things you've done to them". I said.

"So what you're saying is , you didn't see me ,did you?". She asked.

"I don't have to see you to know you were the one that brought them here, you've always found ways to harm jasmine and that isn't a surprise". I said .

" So that also means that you weren't at the party in the first place, huh?". She asked her questions starting to freak me out.

" What do you mean by that?". I asked a bit creeped out by her sudden switch.

It now felt like she, was the one asking the questions now an don't me.

" Look Emily I don't have time for...."

" So where were you?". She asked suddenly leaving me dumbfounded.

" Huh!". I exclaimed suddenly out of words.

She smiled at me tilling her head to the side as she looked at me.

I didn't understand what was happening right now. I felt like I was being interrogated.

"You weren't in the party were you, so that means you were somewhere else, so where were you?". She asked then I had flashbacks of me and nathelie in her room.

I can't say I was with nathelie can I?. Neither can I say I was in her room with her, they wouldn't believe me.

What was this, why does i feel pressured. I knew for a fact that Emily was playing the victim card here, and trying to make me look like the bad guy.

" Where I go, and what I do is non of your business". I replied glaring at her as my blood began to boil.

She smiled and nodded crossing her arm across her chest. "You know". She went on. "If we're to report your missing friend to the police you and your witness would be the main suspect, because no one knows where you were, so you and your witness could be the one behind Jasmine's disappearance.

I brought them here, fine. But I wasn't with them all these time was I, and not just I, am aware but everyone in this gaming house, so the next time you try to lay accusations try to have some solid evidence". She said smirking mischievously before leaving with her crew.

My gaze met with the floor as I gasped before brushing my hair backwards.

"f**k!". I exclaimed. She was a law student after all, so what was I expecting. Even if she is the obvious culprit I'm sure she would still have something legal to back her up.

" Hahh". I sighed, thinking of what to do next.

Where could jasmine be?.
