Chapter 5

1072 Words
“Good evening my wife.” The King greeted as he walked into Aurora’s room. This was the first time he visited Aurora when the sun was up. After the first night, they made love. He never visited her until today. For a while, Aurora and the King were paralyzed. Both stared at each other in awe. “How!” they both asked simultaneously. “Are you Aurora?” The King asked, still trying to figure out what she was doing in the room. “Yes! You never told me you were the King.” Aurora confronted him. The king left the room trying to understand what, just happened. He married the girl he consoled and asked to fight for her happiness. He walked into his chamber in rage. Aurora thought hard trying to figure out what happened. She was already pregnant and feeling the mating bond with him. “What would I do?” She thought to herself. “Auntie it is me, Annabelle. Can I come in?” Annabelle asked from outside the door. “Come in,” Aurora responded, trying to wipe her tears with her duvet. This was the perfect distraction she needed. “Auntie, let's go fishing today.” Annabelle pleaded, rubbing her palms in a demonstration. “I need to clear my head too, so yes, we will go fishing my dear,” Aurora replied as she sniffed. “Alright, let me go and dress in something more appropriate,” Annabelle said, running out of the room. Shortly after, a lady walked into the room without knocking. She wasn't who Aurora expected to see, it was Sylvia the King’s concubine. “Good evening, Ma.” Aurora greeted frighteningly. Sylvia is taller than Aurora, with her blue eyes and blonde hair. She looked so beautiful you'd think she was the goddess of beauty. “You are here to give the King an heir and nothing else. You are an Omega and have no place here. Stay tuned to why you are here,” Sylvia warned, after a long stern stare. Without giving room for discussion, she walked out of the room. Her glory paralyzed Aurora. She stood still thinking of what would be of her if the King didn't feel the mating bond soon. “Auntie, I am here,” Annabelle announced as she spun around for Aurora to see her full outfit. “You look very beautiful my princess,” Aurora remarked with a grin. Shortly afterward, they left for fishing. “Annabelle, what time can I talk to your father and where can I meet him? I want to discuss something with him,” Aurora asked. Annabelle looked at her smiling sheepishly. She inhaled some air, looking at Aurora uneasily. “Well, you can meet my father before dinner, meaning you can meet him earlier than later. He is always in his chamber. Nobody goes into his room.” Annabelle explained proudly. “Alright thanks, but may I know why I cannot go into your father’s room?” Aurora asked calmly. “Well, my mother has never been in his room. No one has, except me. His room is always dark and my father has warned me severely not to come into his room as well.” Annabelle explained further. Aurora noticed a swift movement in the woods close to the lake. She observed closely, trying to know what was so swift. “Stay here, Annabelle. I will be back shortly.” Aurora said. Walking into the woods, Aurora saw something that terrified her. It was the King, but he looked different. His body was shady and he had fangs with claws. He looked like a beast. Aurora screamed and ran back to the lake. The King turned to her direction as he went after her. From afar he sighted his daughter, and he retreated from his race. “We have to leave,” Aurora said, frightened. “Why?” Annabelle asked with a long face. “It's not safe, it's getting late already,” Aurora said, carrying her out of the canoe on the bank of the lake. Aurora locked herself in her room as they got to the castle. She hasn't seen the King in this way. “Why are you scared?” Her Wolf asked Aurora knew werewolves transform but she wasn't expecting this. The King looked terrifying. “He is a werewolf, Aurora, he ought to transform when the need arises. Don't be scared, tell him whatever you want.” Her wolf encouraged. “I will tell him before dinner. For now, I need to calm my nerves.” Aurora responded to her wolf. The mating bond she felt was real. The king is her fated mate and she has to accept it. She has to learn to stand strong. “I am going to tell him about this pregnancy now,” Aurora said aloud as she inhaled like she was drawing her strength from the oxygen. She walked down to the King’s chamber. She could hear voices. She wondered whose voices they were. “My King, you will not leave me for Aurora, will you?” A feminine voice she recognized to be Sylvia’s asked. “No, my love. I will be with you and choose you as my Luna. Aurora is only here to give me a son, after which you do whatever you desire with her. You can poison her”. The King comforted Sylvia. Aurora eavesdropped as tears rolled down her cheeks. She couldn’t believe what she heard. She went up to her room and sobbed. “Aurora, can I come in?” Annabelle asked as she knocked. She knocked severally but there was no response. She pushed open the door and saw no one in the room. She had come to call Aurora down for dinner, but she wasn’t there. The king was joining them for dinner. Annabelle wanted Aurora to dress her best. She ran back to the dining room. “Father, I cannot find Auntie Aurora,” Annabelle announced, looking at her mother and the King. It was against the royal rules to skip dinners. Sylvia smirked, hoping Aurora would get punished for disobeying the royal order. King Orion stood up and headed straight to her room. He searched all crooks and crannies, leaving nothing behind, but Aurora was nowhere in sight. He opened the closets; her belongings were gone. He was perplexed.
