Chapter 5In April it started raining almost every day, which made walking around town a real pain in the ass. The only one in my group of school friends who actually lived in town was Damon, and I worried that he might see me walking around with Kenzie.
I decided it was time to tell them the truth.
One stormy Friday at lunch I interrupted Jasmine and Grayson from staring into each other’s eyes. “I have something to tell you.”
Everyone turned to look at me and I felt pins and needles throughout my whole body.
“The thing is…I’m gay.”
Jasmine and Grayson’s mouths dropped open.
“I called it!” Damon said, raising his hand in the air.
“Why didn’t you tell us before?” Eva asked.
“I was afraid of what you guys would think,” I admitted.
