Chapter 10Mom took Jacob and I shopping for spring and summer clothes the next morning. I used some of my money to help out and buy a few extra things I wanted. Jacob had no money, so he humbly accepted what our mother bought.
As we ate lunch in the food court, Mom said, “We should do this more often.”
“That’s kind of what we expected after the divorce,” Jacob said defensively.
