Chapter 14The fish swam past his face. Radhi startled awake. A scary dream, he hated when that happened.
Oscar snored softly at his side. He’d learned a lot about this guy, more than he’d bargained for and hard to believe, but it must be true. He couldn’t explain the miraculous recovery any other way.
His friend took good care of him. Oscar fed him well, served him coffee every morning, up until now, and looked after him since the accident. He’d shared his blood.
Radhi regretted doubting it when Oscar came out as a caveman. After that, he treated the poor guy different. They’d gotten really tight those few weeks before the truth sunk in. Too bad the good times hadn’t lasted longer.
