Standing at the edge of the grand staircase, Kade leaned casually against the bannister, Rina at his side wearing his shirt…his shirt. The sight alone was enough to drive me to the edge, but the smugness in his eyes, the ease with which he stood there, knowing what he’d done, felt like gasoline on an open flame.
Ryder and I had barely made it to the front door when something inside me snapped. I didn’t even process my own movement as my hand gripped the heavy oak door and tore it from its hinges, throwing it aside as if it weighed nothing. The noise barely registered in my ears…my wolf, Rodolfo, clawed his way to the surface, a singular rage fueling him as my bones cracked and reformed.
