A week passed after our ceremony and Lip did everything he could to keep me occupied. I think he was afraid if I was idle for too long I’d break down over what had happened with my father. But i had been one hundred percent honest with him. I was grieving for a father he had never met. All had been quiet since that happened. No hunters, no wolves fighting. It seemed too good to be true. The morning after it all happened Aimee woke up. Well she didn’t open her eyes until well into the afternoon. Jack never left her side, not even to change. He sat and held her hand, talking softly to her stomach. It hurt me to know I was the cause of their almost tragedy. The moment her eyes open she asked me about the baby. Thankfully dr smith had come to check on her and assured her the baby was fine.
