Lip’s scent filled my nose but he wasn’t beside me. The sheets were cold when i reached for him, which told me he had been gone for a while. Sunlight barely streamed through the window as i opened my eyes and i took in a sharp breath.
My entire body hurt. It felt like it did the very first time i trained. My arms, my back, everything groaned as i moved to sit up. I stretched, hoping to ease some of the tightness. I realized i needed to get back to training. All this Luna and mate stuff had distracted me and made my body softer.
After pulling myself out of bed i went into the bathroom and splashed my face with cold water. Then I got dressed and decided to go find my mate. I wasn’t very happy about waking up alone. Lip never left without kissing me goodbye, which i usually woke up to.
