Chapter 22 Sometimes in a person’s life, one must choose to leave the past behind them. And that was what she’d done exactly; Venice had put the past behind her and never looked back. She’d never recalled a certain memory that she knew would only hurt her. And one of those memories had included her parents. She didn’t remember their face nor what they’d looked like. Her aunt had always been a mother figure to her—she’d made sure Venice had everything she needed and more. She’d be forever grateful to her aunt and it was very unfortunate when she’d been taken away too early. Venice was sure her aunt would have wanted to see her get married to the love of her life.
