As she walked, Rachel bumped into James. They chatted for a while, and Rachel realized that she was no longer nervous around him. She didn't feel the same rush of excitement or the same flutter in her chest that she used to feel. But she also didn't feel sad or anxious. She was simply... neutral. James noticed something different about Rachel, too. She seemed more relaxed, more at ease. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he liked the change in her. They continued to chat for a while, and then James invited Rachel to join him for a cup of tea at his house.

Rachel hesitated for a moment. She knew that spending time with James would be different now that she no longer had romantic feelings for him. But she decided to go anyway. She was curious to see how things would play out.They spent the afternoon together, sipping tea and chatting about all sorts of things. James told Rachel about a patient he had helped earlier that day, and Rachel told James about the strange plant she had found. They laughed and joked and reminisced about old times.
