“What condition? Is she sick or something?”
“No she's not,” Tim smiled. “She's two weeks pregnant.”
My mind went blank for a moment. It felt like the word pregnant was in the wrong sentence. How can this be? I mean, we weren't exactly best friends who shared secrets, but still, I didn't even know she'd found her mate.
“If you need anything else, I'll be in my office,” Tim's voice snapped me out of my reverie.
“Thank you ,Tim,” Cassandra said. “You're a lifesaver as always.”
“Can I go see her now?” I muttered, still trying to process the words he told me seconds ago.
Tim nodded. “She's resting, but you can go in. Just don't stress her out,” Tim said, and walked away.
