“Miss Tracy please come back. This is not funny! Stop running now.” I heard Cressida call out to me from behind but I ignored her.
I descended down the stairs to see a row of prison cells. Most of them were empty and the one where the sound was coming from was guarded by two soldiers. On seeing them, I came to a halt and hid behind a pillar.
Since I was no longer running, Cressida caught up with me easily. She looked really angry and was about to start yelling at me when I covered her mouth and pointed at the two large men blocking the entrance to the cell.
“Somebody please help me!” The voice called out again.
