“Don't worry, it's nothing alarming,” King Sorin gave me a smile that clearly didn't reach his eyes, and this only made me more anxious.
He sighed, as if trying to choose his next words carefully. Never in my entire life did I think I'd witness something like this. Alpha's are none to be straightforward and confident–don’,t get me wrong, King Sorin is a confident man, but seeing him consider the effect his next words would have on me was quite surprising.
“I don't want you to reject my son's–”
“W-what?” I stuttered, my eyes widening in disbelief.
