Mate?
I chuckled. I must have heard wrong, there's no way… my thoughts were all over the place, as my mind struggled to piece their conversation together, and just when I thought I had it figured out, Zeke's next words shattered what little semblance I had gotten.
“Tracy is our mate. I don't care if she's a werewolf–I accept her, and I'm going to mark her.”
“That's exactly why we can't accept this bond,” Kian said, and even though I'm supposed to feel relief at his words, my heart only sank further. “Being the Lycan Queen comes with responsibilities. You know that, and I've explained this to you countless times. Tracy just can't fill that role.”
Tracy? My legs suddenly felt like jelly, and could barely hold me up.
