Breakfast with Ady was a breath of fresh air. Being able to walk out of the packhouse hand-in-hand with her, driving to town, and sitting down for brunch kept the darkness away for a few hours. I needed that girlfriend time more than I care to admit. I know life has to move on but it was a b***h and I wasn’t even close to wanting to start the healing process.
