Chapter twelve

Martha’s Pov

The day after I told John the news we decided to tell our family along with the whole pack. “John I think it's time that we tell our family along with the pack. They're gonna find out sooner or later. I just think that they should hear it from us and not from gossip.” I said to John who was now nodding his head. “ I think that's a good idea. Everyone will be so happy and that means I will have more people to help protect you and our pups from danger,” he said with a big smile planted on his face. Ever since I told John that we should tell the pack he hasn't stopped smiling and it's starting to get creepy and suspicious to everyone else.

“Hey, I think it's time to call a pack meeting because you're going to wind up screaming I'm pregnant if we don't tell them soon.” I mindlinked John.

“Ya, me too. I'm just so excited for our pups to be here. I can call the pack meeting later on today. So that work with you babe?” he minds linked back.

“It's fine with me. Since it 11 o’clock right now how about we call it at 1 o’clock” I asked.

“That's a great idea babe. I'll let everyone know that there will be a mandatory pack meeting for all members at 1 o’clock,” he said to me thru the mindlink.

Once we were done mind linking, he minds linked the whole pack about the pack meeting in two hours. After he told everyone I heard a knock at my door, so I went and opened it to see that there was nobody there except a note and a box on the ground. I questioned opening it or if I should call John so he can open it and read the letter instead of me doing it. I decided to just open it and to not disturb him. I grabbed it and took it into my room closing my door after me. I set it down on my lap after sitting down on my bed.

I opened the letter first and on the paper it said

Congratulation on your pregnancy Martha, but your happiness won't last forever. I coming to get you back. You are MINE and not that stupid fack alpha mate of yours. When I get you back you are going to punished for leaving my pack and letting that son of b***h touch when you know that you are MY property. I'll come for you soon my dearest mate, count on it.

As I finished reading the note I was already trembling, so I decided against opening up the box and to just mindlink john so he can come in hear fast. “John. John, I really need you to come to our room. It's urgent.” I mindlinked him and got no reply. I was just about to go and find him myself when the door burst open and John was there with a panicked look at my state of being. I was on the floor holding the note and crying my eyes out.

He ran to me and held me asking me what happened and if I was okay. I shook my head and handed him the note. He took it and started to read it. When John was finished reading it he threw it on the bed and picked me setting me on the bed. “I'm going to find out who is doing this and they're going to pay for this. I promise that they won't be able to get to you. I'm going to call the meeting early, like right now, and we're going to tell them that your pregnant and that somebody is threatening you. They don't like, so I know that they will help protect you and our pups as well.” he told me. I heard John mind link the whole pack and he said “ PACK MEETING, RIGHT NOW, EVERYBODY.” He grabbed my hand gently and led me out towards the stage where all the pack meeting is held. When we went up on the state all motion and sound ceased to exist.

“ everyone we have some exciting news and some not so good news. The good news is that your Luna is pregnant”, everyone starts to yell in excitement, “but somebody is targeting her.” once he said that all I could hear were growls from the men and crying from the women and kids. “ they left a note and a box. Luna Martha opened the note but was too stunned to open the box. So, I am asking not just as your alpha, but as your friend for your help to protect your Luna and future airs.” after he said airs everybody started to ask questions. A woman asked I think her name is Lana, “ You said airs, as in plural. How many pups is she having?” John looked at me and smiled widely at me before speaking again. “We are having quadruplets, in other words, we're having four pups!” John said with so much excitement in his voice that is was practically rolling off him. Everyone starting whooping at the news of us having four pups. Another person asked, “ do you know the gender of the babies or are you going to wait to find out?” “ we are having three boys and one girl. I found out right before I told Alpha that I am pregnant.” I said before John had time to speak. He looked at me with surprise and excitement on his face. He ran to me and engulfed me in a huge hug.

“Now back to business, so who will help me find who the person that is targeting your Luna? If you don't want to that's fine, please don't feel obligated to help just because Martha's pregnant.” John said to everyone. Once he was finished talking everyone in the pack said that they will help. “ I appreciate your help. I will call another pack meeting when I have more information to go on. On that note can I have my top warriors to head to my office so we can decide where to go from here. Thank you, everyone, for coming and you may all leave.” John said with a smile. With that, he gave me a kiss and left.
