Chapter Eleven

Martha POV

The next morning I felt the best I have ever felt in my life. I have finally fully mated with my mate. While I was going over last nights event my head shot up because I realized that we forgot to wear a condom all night. So, that means I could be pregnant. With the thought of having a baby scared me half to death, but I knew that I would for ever love my baby. I knew that I was going to do anything and everything for my child if I was pregnant.

I decided not to tell John, well at least until I know for sure. So, I'm going to wait a month and see if I have any pregnancy symptoms, then and only then will I go to the doctor to make sure.

One month later

So last week I started getting sick in the morning and I knew that it was finally time to go check if I'm pregnant. Yesterday, I called the pack doctor, so I could set up an appointment for today. Luckily she is able to take me early this morning at 8.

I'm on my way towards the pack doctor's office and I'm very nervous. I was just thinking about how John will act like when I tell him that I'm pregnant. There were two scenarios, one is that he will be happy and we will be able to be a big happy family, or he will not like it at all and want nothing to do with our child. I didn't notice I had arrived at the pack doctors office until I heard Melody (the pack doctors name) say " hello Luna. How are you today and are we looking for children today?"she asked me with a hopeful smile on her features. I returned her smile saying yes.

She told me to follow her to a room, where she told me to sit down, so she can draw some blood for the test. After she got the blood she needed she told me to wait right here and that she would be back momentarily with the results. After ten minutes she came back with a very ecstatic face on. " congratulations Luna, you are pregnant." She said with excitement in her tone. I lit up at the news and the she asked me if I wanted to see how many pups I'm having. I said I did and she told me to lay down on the bed/bench and to lift my shirt up.

"This may be kinda cold on your skin." she told be with a smile. I nodded that I understood and she applied the gel. She smeared it with the ultrasound stick and then stopped at one stop and told me to look at the screen. That's when I saw it. I saw that there are four pups in my uterus. I cried with excitement and couldn't wait to go home so I can tell John that we're having four pups.

On my way home I mindlinked John and said "Hey John I have some exciting news to share with you, so could you meet me in our room?" Of course babe, I'll see you there, I'm on my way." he mind looked back.

When I got there John was waiting for me while sitting on our bed. I gave him a smile and he returned it ten fold. He got up and walked over to me and asked " Babe what's the exciting news that you wanted to tell me?" " You probably should sit down for this, it's huge." I said to him and he happily obliged. " Do you remember when we first mated." I asked and he nodded. " Well when we made love we forgot to use protection and now", I paused to take a breath, " now I'm pregnant and we're having four pups." I said the last part with so much excitement that it seemed unreal.

Johns POV

As soon as she said that she was pregnant I stopped moving, then she said that we're having four pups I stopped breathing. I didn't know how to react to this news. The only thing I knew was that I am a very happy man with the love of my life with not one, not two, but four bundles of joy coming into our lives soon.

After a minute of doing nothing I kissed her with so much love and passion I could muster up. I pulled away and saw that she was crying and suddenly started to panic. I asked " Babe are you okay? Why are you crying? Did I do something to upset you? Please tell me what's the matter hun." " I'm fine. I'm just so happy that we're gonna have a family. also, I'm scared that I won't be a well enough mother for my pups. I know you'll be an amazing father and that we will get through this together for the rest of our life's." she said with so much sincerity in her voice that I let a single tear trickle down my face while smiling at the same time. From here on out we will forever be a family not of just mates but with our pups.
