Tension cracked through the air like lightning. Servants held their breath as Jessica and Jayden stood face to face, fire meeting fire.
Jayden: “You’ve got spirit. That’s cute. But in this house, I give the orders.”
Jessica: “Then prepare to be disappointed. I don’t take orders—I give them.”
A faint smirk tugged at his lips. He stepped closer, his presence dark and magnetic.
Jayden: “You think you can survive in my world, princess?”
Jessica: “Sweetheart, I don’t survive. I dominate.”
Behind him, Jason Khumalo, Jayden’s twin brother, leaned against the railing of the grand staircase. His expression was calm, but his eyes—identical to Jayden’s—glimmered with curiosity.
Jason: “She’s got more bite than you, brother. I like her already.”
Jessica: “At least one of you has taste.”
Jayden’s jaw tightened, though amusement flickered beneath his irritation.
Jayden: “You’ll learn respect soon enough.”
Jessica: “And you’ll learn not to mistake silence for obedience.”
