Getting in 3.17

Sorrel thought a bit before just pulling a shadow dispersal cloak, and a cute gimmick spell called ‘see what you expect’ around himself and then on that lightened his weight. Sorrel then leapt from the roof and floated upwards like a balloon. He closed his eyes as he drifted.  “Mummy, look a balloon.” A child’s voice called from below. “Sorrel watched through his sight as Kayad slipped from the carpark and blended into the crowd to move along the streets towards the club. He would be fine for the first block, but the crowd dispersed the closer that it got to the club. It would actually be interesting to see how he handled the situation.  For the moment though as he drifted on the rising current between the two buildings Sorrel got to really feel how the dandelion’s felt. They always liked to brag that they were free and unfettered just going where the wind took them. It was the reason Sorrel felt so compelled to try things. He liked going wherever the breeze of life took him. As he reached the top of the gardens, he brushed a hand across the trees taking the leaves from some chamomile and some sandalwood. Sorrel rolled in the air as he sailed over the garden, while tugging on his connection to his kin. Leaves, petals and pollen that was old was shaken loose by a collective rustle of his kin. Rooftop gardens are designed for people to relax in.  it was convenient to get just the right things I needed. Reluctantly he allowed the spell that lightened his weight to fade as he created the building so that he gradually drifted down towards the club house.  Around him on the wind were the donations from his kin and he dissipated one of his flowers just before he landed into ambient magic. He had only re-grown four since the whale incident but that was still sufficient.  The increased ambient magic swirled amongst the flowers and leaves and they twirled in the breeze before they continued down into the open windows and doors of the clubhouse. While the pollen dissipated to drift further in. Someone had opened a window on the right side of the building on the top floor. It was as if inviting him in. Sorrel could tell the room was a bedroom. It was also unoccupied. The people are mainly on the main floor playing pool. The only exceptions were one person sleeping in the room two doors down from the one with an open window and three people in a back room gathered around a table. Sorrel paused to check the progress of Blaine and Kayad. Blaine was creeping along the back of the building towards what seemed to be a storage room window. Though from what Sorrel could see it wasn’t open and had a latch to prevent it just being slid open from outside. If he forced the issue it was almost guaranteed he’d make enough noise to alert the members of the gang. On the other hand, Kayad was just gone. No matter how Sorrel looked he could find no trace of him. That is impressive. He would have to be sure to ask how that was done. Still time to get his own job down. Quickly as possible.  Sorrel mentally muttered to himself as he swung over the ledge. *it’s a little unfair. I liked being the brash and bold one. The good thrill of the fight. How come it's either humans or I get interrupted. The stealth competition better be more fun or I’m going to have to get creative for my play time. * Nothing really topped a good beatdown of a scummy person for improving the mood, invigorating the mind and lowering stress. When Sorrel swung into the room he balanced on the end of the bend and then proceeded to walk across the chest of draws to crouch behind the door. He waited then as one of the men left the pool hall yawning the man slowly reached the bottom of the stairs and Sorrel rattled the door. The man paused before coming up the stairs and swinging the door open. “Geeze, f*****g Dior always leaving the window open.” As the man walked in Sorrel flipped over the door and landed silently in the hallway. As he landed Sorrel wondered what the ‘win’ condition Dr Alfair hadn’t really specified. He slid down the stares and then folded himself into the storage cabinet at the bottom of the stairs just as two more men came out of the pool room and walked past to get to the bathrooms.  Sorrel watched Blaine grasp the window and yank at it. Even where Sorrel was far deeper in the building, he heard the crunch of the lock. Almost immediately the relaxed atmosphere Sorrel had worked so hard to induce was shattered. One of the three men, who Sorrel had deduced where Vinnie, Throttle and Moto came out and gave instructions. Sorrel really regretted that his nature sight lacked colour and the normal distinction of physical features. It made all the people look basically the same. It was useful for identifying the nature of another as he could see beneath the skin but on humans it was only good for male female tall, short dichotomies. A group went past Sorrel towards the back while the remains spread out around the building. When there were no longer people in the area of the cabinet Sorrel climbed out and then paused. The two men at the front entrance were now unconscious on the floor.
