When the succubi sisters lunged at Sorrel he calmly stepped to the left and reached out to grab Suzie as she moved past. He wrapped one arm around her neck while he used his free hand to grab her wrist. Sorrel shifted his head and whispered in her ear, “Grandpa Oak told me to be subtly at school and it seems my compliance has given you the wrong impression.”
Sorrel shifted his hold and leveraged across Suzie’s back to toss her bodily into the air where she flipped before slamming into her just recovered sister. “That’s alright though. It’s actually my preference to be overt. So, pay attention you’ll only want to experience this once.” Sorrel dogged back two steps from the simultaneous strikes of Carla’s spell and Oliver’s punch as he spoke in a more normal tone.
Sorrel tilted his head and then smirked. “Or actually don’t, more fun for me that way.” The four where further incited by Sorrel’s casual treatment that they grouped up to attack together. In response Sorrel started leading them around deflecting one person’s strikes into one of the others.
Then when an opportunity presented itself, he tossed one of the group backwards towards the edge of the garden and then flipped back himself to avoid the next set of strikes. Sorrel enjoyed himself to the fullest in the fight. It might have been more interesting if the succubi had been vampires instead since the speed would have added a bit more spice to the encounter.
It was unfortunate that the appeal that they relied on was of no interest to Sorrel and so they were left to just using their fists. Sally attempted to shift into Sorrel’s deepest desire, but her appearance merely flicked for a moment before it returned to her normal seeming.
When Sally stopped and stared at Sorrel he paused for a moment and winked with a shrug. It would be strange for her to be able to understand the mind of a plant.
“Thwack.” A stone swished past Sorrel and accurately hit Oliver in the leg, he then stumbled and almost fell face first into the dirt. Sorrel spun around and kicked solidly into Carla’s back sending her flying forward into the newly returned Suzie.
Sorrel then moved over to Ella. He had intended to compliment her aim when he noticed her blown eyes and the slight sway to her body.
“Oops, I was having too much fun.” Sorrel said and then swept Ella into his arms. “I know it's a little rude to treat a lady I have just met like such, but needs must as they say. I strongly advise you to not stay in the Serenity Garden.” Sorrel called over his shoulder. He figured that the group should still be incised enough to chase him but just in case they got nervous about potentially being spotted he still offered a warning.
Sorrel then turned his back on the group with one last glance at Sephy who took to the skies and started to lead the way out in the direction Victoria had headed. Halfway their Sorrel noticed Kayad as he rushed through the trees.
Sorrel intended to call out a greeting when an instinct forced him to move, he lunged forward and leapt onto a nearby branch. A crash sounded behind him and a geyser of dirt sprayed up from the place where Sorrel had stood.
Kayad responded immediately to the sound he looked over and noticed Sorrel. Kayad shifted his angle to run straight towards Sorrel. Sorrel in turn opened his nature sight and examined the area around him. Behind him Carla and her group rushed after him while just beyond the next row of trees Victoria stood at the entrance to the main building with Ella’s four friends crowded behind.
While just inside the line of trees… “Sorry, this will be a bit rough.” Sorrel said to Ella before he shifted his stance and tossed her while he called, “Professor Alfair, catch.” The professor’s concealment dropped forcefully as he charged forward and jumped up to catch Ella mid arc.
Sorrel in turn flipped sideways away from the branch as another green wipe lashed out shattering the wood. Kayad dove forward and rolled to a stop at the base of the tree where Sorrel currently waited. While Carla and Oliver tumbled forward after colliding into the abruptly halted Sally and Suzie.
Sorrel followed the web of vines and roots he could see beneath the ground and amongst the trees to the area to the right of where he had run from and saw the large indistinct mass as it writhed and moved towards them.
“Oh hell. I thought that it was restrained, that’s why no one had discovered it.” Sorrel muttered as he rolled under the branch and tackled Kayad to the side to push him out of the way of the next vine strike that punched a whole clean through the trunk of the tree.
“Teacher I think it’s best you get Ella out of here now. She had inhaled a large amount of the pollen and unlike the Realmskin and even the Beastskin to a lesser extent she had no means of combating the effect.” Sorrel explained before he raced over to pull Carla and Sally to one side so that the vine passed by them. Kayad in turn grabbed Oliver and Suzie. He yanked them aside before fully exhibiting a Beastskins superior strength as he tossed them, past Dr Alfair who had turned to take Ella inside, through the final row of trees where they rolled for a moment before stopping at the base of the building.
