“My son told me about you, but he doesn’t have my affinity, so I thought it was an exaggeration.” Demyan commented as he examined Sorrel.  “Your who and what?” Sorrel was certain that he had no idea what the man was talking about. Though considering the number of plant seeds he could feel on the man’s person he had his suspicions but what affinity Demyan alluded to. “Dimitri. I understand he has been hanging out at your club as he endeavours to catch the witch, he has his eye on. I’m a forest with a strong plant affinity. Dimitri took after my husband and is closer to being a moon sidhe.” A fine branch crept out from beneath Demyan’s hair as he spoke and inched over to Sorrel.  Sorrel blinked at the offered appendage before he chuckled and then reached out to shake. The branch twined around Sorrel’s fingers for a few minutes before it then withdrew. When Sorrel turned to look back around, he saw that Chris and Adie were talking to Kadar while Milena was questioning Eddy and Meg. A twitch in the corner of his eye had Sorrel looking at the downed humans. As he watched Maul’s leg twitched again. Sorrel frowned and rose to his feet. He would have expected the pair to be out for much longer given the normal effectiveness of Aunt Yew’s goods. Demyan followed Sorrel over and considered the pair. “The analgesic you gave them was quite potent but the dose was insufficient for the body size. Though it will still be at least half hour before they are actually awake.” Demyan opened one eye lid and checked their breathing before giving his diagnosis. Sorrel pursed his lips and made a note to check the storage for his needles. The normal dose should have been enough to knock a Beastskin out for five hours. A human recovering in barely two shouldn’t happen. Though now that Sorrel thought about it. If they had received a full dose it might have been too much for their system and the pair could have died. Though it would have been Sorrel looking for an alternative solution if he’d actually needed to use the needles on Beastskins. He’d have to make a separate set of human dosed needles as well as figure out what had affected the potency. “Ah??” an exclamation came from the crowd of patrons still waiting to be released after answering questions and Sorrel turned around to see the portal Eddy had exited reopening. A moment later and Ned appeared out of the portal.  In an impressive show of selective sight Ned overlooked the three Sentinels and settled his sights on Eddy. The kraken started across the pool with a sneer as he spoke, “You snivelling sea dog see how I take care of you.”  “You won’t be taking care of anyone. In fact, both you and you clan who are responsible for the garden here are going to be too busy to do much of anything.” Milena grabbed Ned by the back of his shirt and hauled him up like a disobedient puppy. “What, you hag, let go of me.” Ned struggled as he yelled, and Sorrel shivered as a strange foreboding feeling swept over him. “Oh, best go or will be arranging for funeral benefits.” Demyan strode across the area and yanked Ned from Milena’s hold which had tightened as a smile reminiscent of a shark had stretched her lips. “Come on time to go back for processing.” “Yes, I’ll make sure he is processed very well.” Milena chucked darkly as she turned to follow Demyan. Ned finally showed some survival instincts as he stiffened in Demyan’s hold as he stared wide eyed at the expression on Milena’s face. “it seems that your day has been quite the adventure. I suggest a good rest before your day out on the weekend. Be sure to tell my son when you see him that I expect him to bring his friends home on occasion, not just spend the time at the club house,” Kadar commented as he came up beside Sorrel. “Your son?” Sorrel asked he was pretty sure that he knew who he meant but it never hurt to be sure. “Kayad. The little bugger has been so wrapped up in his friends recently I never see him.” Kadar commented with a wave. Kadar then strode off without a care. Sorrel nodded to himself. Father and son that restored his face in genetic inheritance of animals. It would have been wholly unfair if that look could just occur any time it wanted. Also, would be likely to inspire riots. “Well, that was interesting.” Chris commented as he and Adie walked over to Sorrel. Sorrel nodded and then paused in replying at the sight of three Harley’s pulling up at the gate. The men wore black pants and leather vests, well defined muscles flexed as they dismounted their bikes and walked through the gate. The leader was dark skinned with a shaved head, his sunglasses hid his eyes, but it was apparent as he scanned the area before focusing on the downed Maul and Claw. “Can I help you?” Uncle Christian stepped into the three’s path. “Are you the owner?” the leader asked. “Yes.” Uncle Christian firmed his stance as the man stepped closer to him. “Good, by the looks of it some of my boys got into some trouble here.” Sorrel straightened and focused on the humans he was not letting another brawl break out. One unplanned trip was enough for today. “I’m Tim Rev though most people call me Throttle. I just want to know if anyone needs compensation before I haul them back for a lesson. Let me know if there are charges as well, I’ll make sure they show.” Throttle was polite and calm as he spoke while he waved one gloved hand to gesture at Claw and Maul. “Ah…. No damage and they took the worst hits so...” Uncle Christian hesitantly replied. “Oh? Well, that’s good then. I’ll just take them off your hands then.” Throttle strode easily across the brisks and hauled the pair who were just coming around to their feet. “Anyone here know how to ride a bike? My brothers and I expected them to be conscious and so didn’t bring anyone to take their rides.” Sorrel blanked at the question before he raised a hand. This human was so interesting. Nothing he asked was what he expected. Since he’d been dropped off, he was quite free to take a bike. Plus, it was his doing that the pair were unconscious. “I can take one. Though they may take umbrage at it later since I’m the one that put them out.” Sorrel said. Throttle laughed. “These are my brothers Vinnie and Moto, and this pair are going to be their personal projects for oh the next six months. They are guaranteed to not have the time to cause trouble for anyone. So, we’d appreciate the hand. Save having to make a round trip for their rides later.” “I’ll take the other bike and Chris can follow in his car to pick us up.” Adie stepped forward and then flicked a look at Chris when the other started to protest. “Nice.” Vinnie gave a fist pump and the lead the way outside. “You don’t seem the sort to deal the sort of bruises there sporting. If you don’t mind me asking.” Moto fell into step beside Sorrel as he waved at Uncle Christian in reassurance. “Hmm, oh yeah I didn’t make the bruises. I’d have probably broke bones,” Sorrel responded absently as he looked over at the group of five bikes. “I caused the bruises. They didn’t like my way of playing ball,” Adie interjected as they reached the bikes. “Fair enough. Just follow us.” Moto jogged forward to his own bike as Sorrel mounted up. Sorrel looked at the helmet Claw had used and decided to risk a fine and what not because he was not putting that on his head. Thankfully similarly Adie also left the helmet aside. The ride was short, and the bikes were dropped off quickly. Throttle invited them over if they wanted to another time and Sorrel agreed. He was quietly excited. This was something unlike what he’d seen so far.
