Two games left, and word came down that the front office had finally opened a formal inquiry into the leaks — not the review of Amira’s methods, a separate thing entirely, aimed at whoever kept handing reporters details that should have stayed locked inside a handful of offices.
Reyes told me himself, standing by the boards after practice, voice pitched low enough that only I could hear it over the guys still shooting pucks behind us.
“Legal’s involved now,” he said. “They’re pulling phone records, email logs, anything that might show who’s been talking to the press.”
“About time.”
