Emma pov//
Emma's eyes widened as she watched her ex hubby, Rayne, kiss another woman. She had been with him for three years, and she thought they were happy. But now, as she stood in the crowded bar, she realized she had been blind to his infidelity.
Feeling like she was going to throw up, Emma turned and ran out of the bar, not stopping until she was blocks away. She finally slowed down and leaned against a building, trying to catch her breath.
As she stood there, a familiar voice called out to her. "Emma, hey, are you okay?"
Emma turned to see Jack, a friend from work, walking towards her. They had met a few months ago, and Emma had always thought he was nice, but they had never really talked outside of work.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Emma lied, trying to brush off her tears.
Jack looked at her skeptically. "You don't look fine," he said. "What's going on?"
Emma hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But something about Jack's kind eyes made her trust him. "I just caught my boyfriend cheating on me," she said, her voice shaking.
Jack's expression turned angry, and he put a comforting arm around Emma's shoulders. "I'm so sorry, Emma," he said. "You deserve so much better than that."
As they stood there, a group of people walked by, cheering and holding up cameras. "Happy Valentine's Day!" one of them shouted.
Emma's eyes widened as Jack got down on one knee, holding up a small box. "Emma, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special," he said, his eyes locked on hers. "Will you marry me?"
The crowd around them cheered, and Emma felt like she was in a dream. She looked at Jack, and for a moment, she forgot about Rayne and his infidelity.
"Yes," she said, the word tumbling out of her mouth before she could stop it.
As Jack slid the ring onto her finger, Emma felt a sense of excitement and trepidation. What had she just gotten herself into?
As they hugged, Emma's phone buzzed with a text from Rayne. "Emma, I'm so sorry," he wrote. "Please forgive me."
Emma rolled her eyes and showed the text to Jack. "My ex wants me back," she said, laughing.
Jack smiled and put his arm around her. "Too late for that," he said. "You're mine now."
Emma's eyes sparkled with amusement as she looked at Jack. "Yours, huh?" she teased.
Jack nodded, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Absolutely," he said. "Now, shall we go celebrate our engagement?"
Emma laughed, feeling a sense of excitement and freedom. "I'd love to," she said.
As they walked through the streets, hand in hand, Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. Who would have thought that catching her boyfriend cheating would lead to her getting engaged to a stranger?
But as she looked at Jack, she felt a sense of connection that she couldn't ignore. Maybe this was the start of something special.
As they walked into a nearby restaurant, Emma's phone buzzed again. This time, it was a text from her best friend, Sarah.
"OMG, Emma! I just saw the most ridiculous thing on social media. You're engaged?!"
Emma laughed and showed the text to Jack. "My best friend is freaking out," she said.
Jack chuckled and took the phone from her. "Let me handle this," he said.
As Jack typed away on her phone, Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. What was he saying to her best friend?
Finally, Jack handed the phone back to her. Emma looked at the screen and burst out laughing.
"What did you say?" she asked, still chuckling.
Jack grinned mischievously. "I told her that I'm the love of your life, and that we're going to live happily ever after."
Emma playfully rolled her eyes. "You're such a romantic," she teased.
Jack's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Hey, someone's got to sweep you off your feet," he said.
As they sat down at a table, Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. What other surprises did Jack have in store for her?
As they sat down at a table, Emma couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. What other surprises did Jack have in store for her?
The waiter came over to take their order, and Jack immediately took charge. "We'll have the champagne and the works," he said, smiling at Emma.
Emma's eyes widened in surprise. "The works?" she repeated.
Jack nodded. "Yes, the works. We're celebrating, after all."
Emma laughed, feeling a sense of joy that she hadn't felt in a long time. "I guess we are," she said.
As they waited for their food to arrive, Emma couldn't help but ask Jack questions. "So, what do you do for a living?" she asked.
Jack smiled. "I'm a lawyer," he said. "How about you?"
Emma nodded. "I'm a marketing manager," she said.
As they talked, Emma found herself feeling more and more comfortable around Jack. She couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to him, how much they had in common.
When their food arrived, Emma was surprised to find that Jack had ordered all of her favorite dishes. "How did you know?" she asked, laughing.
Jack smiled. "I have my ways," he said.
As they ate and drank, Emma found herself feeling more and more like she was on a real date. She couldn't believe how much fun she was having, how much she was enjoying Jack's company.
As the night wore on, Emma realized that she was having the time of her life. She was laughing and smiling, feeling carefree and happy.
And it was all thanks to Jack.
Emma's POV:
As the night wore on, I found myself feeling more and more comfortable around Jack. We laughed and joked, shared stories and secrets. It was like we had known each other for years, not just hours.

"Where are we going now?" I asked, looking up at him.
Jack smiled. "I have a surprise for you," he said.
I raised an eyebrow. "What is it?" I asked.
Jack just chuckled. "You'll have to wait and see," he said.
I playfully rolled my eyes. "You're such a tease," I said.
Jack's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting," he said.
As we walked through the streets, hand in hand, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. What did Jack have planned for me?

Jack smiled at me. "I wanted to bring you somewhere special," he said.
I smiled back at him, feeling grateful. "This is perfect," I said.
As we got out of the carriage, Jack took my hand and led me to the band. They were playing a beautiful waltz, and Jack pulled me into his arms.
We danced under the stars, the music swirling around us. I felt like I was floating on air, like nothing could ever bring me down.
As the music came to an end, Jack looked down at me with a smile. "I'm so glad I met you, Emma," he said.

I grinned, feeling a sense of excitement. "Then let's make it last forever," I said.

Emma's face lit up with excitement. "That sounds amazing," she said.
As we boarded the yacht, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This was going to be a night to remember.
