Chapter 25 - Wake her Gently

It was around midday when Baden finally went to wake Gemma, they had the ball tonight and she needed to get ready. Plus Alex had gone to look for her several times and Baden would allow no other to see her in her current state of disarray and nakedness. Getting up this morning Baden couldn’t live with the idea of waking her, she was so peaceful. He could watch her sleep all day.

In fact he thought that was kind of a viable option if the council relinquished his status of Pack Master. His workload would lessen significantly as well. As he had suspected though they had not, he had called their bluff and this would be the only way they had even a semblance of control and intelligence on his pack. Ian had already linked him earlier with their decision to leave him in his position. As such all representatives had left with only a few staying for the nights ball to introduce Gemma to the packs.

Watching Gemma, Baden couldn’t help but place a kiss to her cheek feeling guilty remembering last night. He couldn’t stop, once more lead to twice more which lead to thrice. He just could get enough, by the end of it Gemma couldn’t even open her eyes. The more she cried and screamed the more he wanted to bully her. He really should have held back, especially with the big night ahead.

Under Baden’s kiss Gemma started to stir, a breathy sigh escaping her lips. Gemma’s brows scrunched together tightly as her body started to ache “uuhh”, the pained moan floated through the room.

Baden was guilty before, but now he just felt ashamed of himself. Reaching down, he helped her to sit up as he sat beside her with an arm around her waist. “Sorry Gem, I was too rough.” Still groggy Gemma pried her eyes open hearing the guilt in Baden’s voice, she smiled leaning into his embrace.

“It was fun for me too Bae, but you are a bit of a beast.” Gemma couldn’t help but let out a slightly laugh as she awkwardly tried to get up from the bed. “God what time is it?”

Baden’s gloomy mood brightened at her carefree attitude as he once again tried to physically aid her. “People will start arriving in a few hours, your brother wants to bring your breakfast in a minute. Then Sarah will help you get ready for the ball.”

Gemma knowingly nodded giving her approval as she stumbled to the walk in to grab her robe. “Bae.” Her voice carrying almost a twinge of concern that peaked Baden’s attention as he watched her intently awaiting her question. “The pack list I saw in your office the other day, that was for tonight yea? I just wanted to double check.” She rushed out the last words wanting to cover any suspicion, but she needed to know if Kai and her father would attend with Rocky Mountain’s Pack.

If he was coming she would need to speak with Baden before then, and make sure to prepare her heart.

Baden smiled warmly nodding, “yes that was the list for tonight. If you get tired though, we can leave early. We just need to get through the alpha introductions.” Baden walked behind Gem pulling her into his chest laying a kiss in her hair. “I washed you this morning after, so you don’t need a shower. I want every wolf to smell me on you.” Baden nose fell to her neck taking in her scent that undoubtedly mixed with his own. Leaving a trail of gentle wet kisses down her neck Baden spun her in his arms to face him. He planted another soft kiss on her forehead. “I need to go get some work done and preparations for tonight, Ill meet you on your throne princess.”

With one last lingering kiss Baden invaded her mouth and mind. Sharing his vulnerability though the bond as his hand stroked her head trailing down to the small of her back. With one final embrace. “I love you Gem.” Turning towards the door he threw over his shoulder, “I’ll send in Alex.”
