Chapter 19 – In the Wardrobe

906 Words
Baden lost total control of himself. Unable to get the relief needed from his rampage in the office, Baden’s body vibrated violently forcing a shift. Pacing the room his anger and lust for destruction grew exponentially. Wolf instincts taking over Baden eyed the door to the office where a couch lay blocking the only entrance. Within seconds he barrelled towards the door. Splinters flying the metal hinges whined as they ripped from the wall causing it to fly into the opposing wall. A shriek sounded from Infront of him as Baden stood there snarling, regaining some semblance of self he re-entered the office pacing wall to wall. Nobody dared to enter as Baden continue to battle with his wolf instincts shaking his head to try dislodge his dark thoughts. Ian stood outside the room ready to shift if needed to try and subdue Baden. Mind Linking to Zac, “Come back now, he’s shifted. I’m going to need some help.”                                                                                           ********** Zac stared at Gemma who was still shaking violently on the floor struggling to get her words out. Receiving a mind link from Ian he calmly stated, “Baden has lost it, it’s too late now.” Weak Zac thought, she is weak. It’s too late now, Baden will have lost control and the pack would be punished because of it. When Gemma came he stopped torturing the rogues, it was his outlet, his sanity. Now he had nothing to control the wraith of his wolf, but her his mate and she failed. Storming from the room Zac headed towards Baden’s office. Alex set his attention back on Gemma, “everyone makes mistakes, we have been through more then most, especially you. Now you need to make a choice, you either want him or you don’t. Make a choice and stick with it Gemma, nobody can make it for you.” Alex’s voice was harsh and commanding. He hated cracking down on her, but he needed her to snap out of it. She couldn’t sit in a wardrobe shaking with fear of the past, she would have no present or future. She was better, stronger then that. Evening out her breathing and concentrating on her future. In the past imagining her future was always difficult, most of the time she couldn’t imagine anything. What did she want now? Baden, Alex, god even Sarah, Ian and little Cole. She wanted a family and to spend her days with the ones she loved. Sucking in a hesitant breath, “I.. I want him, I want a life here.” Alex found a little smirk playing on his face as he felt a pang in his chest. He felt like this choice would take his sister further away from him. He would be stuck going to some other pack with his mate and she would be here with him. Though her happiness would always come first he gritted his teeth as to not portray his emotions, “then call him.” Furrowing her brows Gemma looked up to her brother. Realization hit hard as she recalled all the practising they had been doing all morning. Suddenly filled with determination as her body still trembled, unable to stop, she closed her eyes. Tapping into her bond Gemma pictured Baden clearly in her mind, “Bae… can you hear me. I.. I’m sorry, I just I get scared. Like my past is going to happen all over again. The thing is, I now think about my future. No matter how I imagine it, you.. you’re always there beside me.” Tears slid freely down Gemma cheeks as she allowed her emotions to flow with them. In the space of a few seconds the door to the bedroom whined as it was smashed open by a forceful push. Alex fell flat to the floor as Baden’s wolf entered the bedroom releasing his dominance through a snarling growl. Finally opening her watery eyes, Gemma turned her gaze to the black wolf with Baden’s red eyes staring at her intensely from the wardrobe door. Climbing to her feet Gemma staggard towards Baden gripping her fists in his fur pulling herself as close as possible to his huge frame. Lowering his giant head Baden gently nuzzled at her still trembling body in an attempt to calm her. Seconds later foot steps could be heard pounding up the staircase as Ian and Zac rushed full force into the bedroom, only to freeze witnessing the scene in front to them. Finally pulling back Gemma grasped either side of his giant head, staring him in the eyes. “Please change back Baden.” Before Baden could even trying phasing back his body obeyed her command. Reaching down he lifted her into his arms which were itching for her, leaving no time or space between them. He felt Gemma arms wrap around his neck as her legs rounded his waist squeezing him tightly. His body tingled with the pleasure of her touch as he dropped his head into the crook of her neck. Releasing a sigh into her, his warm breath fanned his mark. Heat sizzled through her as Baden felt her temperature rise meeting his own enflamed body. His masculine voice boomed through the room. “You are mine, I will accept no other.” Lowering his voice he whispered still loud enough for everyone to hear with conviction, “I’d die first Gem.” Baden waited patiently for Gemma to lift her head allowing him to take control capturing her lips with his own unable to be without her a second longer.
