Taking immediate action Baden ordered the whole pack and any members from other packs still present to search for Gemma and Zac. Scouring the woods, buildings, everything within the territory. The only trace being found was the puddle of now determined Zac’s blood outside the Den in the back garden. Nobody had seen the two. Baden’s wolf had unleashed running the territory in search. For two days he searched without stopping while Ian coordinated pack members and searches of all nearby packs.

Four days later from the ball
Baden sat in his office completely beside himself, he had not slept nor ate. No contact could be made to Zac or Gemma through the mink link. He couldn’t even feel her emotions through the mate bond, the only thing he knew was that she was alive. The ties now connecting Zac and Gemma to the pack were strained, but they were still there. Too afraid Gemma or Zac would link him while he was asleep he refrained from sleeping to keep waiting, just waiting.
Oddly he had no temper anymore, no anger. Just sadness and despair. Each lead would place a spark of hope in his chest just to be snuffed out within hours when nothing panned out. Every pack had been alerted about the abduction of their new found Luna. Every pack was instructed to rip their territories apart in search of her and Zac.
One week later from the ball
After a few more days passed nobody had news, Baden completely broke down in his office nobody could console him. He still tried to refused to sleep as he drift here and there when sitting up between phone calls. Sarah stayed near his side helping Ian to coax him to eat, well in her case order him too. She would say Gemma would be angry seeing how he was treating his own body. Even mentioning her name hurt him more then anything else could.
**********
Gemma and Zac had been sedated, Zac woke with a smashing headache. His skull had been cracked open, and was even now still healing. Gemma was in the same cell as him, he rushed over ignoring his pain, “Luna? Luna?” She wouldn’t wake, but she was breathing.
Looking around he could only see a torture room in front of the cell, nobody else was there. It almost seemed abandoned as darkness and the cold seeped into his body creating panic. The bars were silver and walls were lined with it also. His head was throbbing, but he pushed through forcing a link to Baden. “Alpha can you hear me, BADEN?” He screamed though the link when he didn’t get an immediate response.
Baden had just fallen asleep on his desk when he woke to Zac yelling in his head. Within seconds Baden was wide awake. “Zac report, where are you? where is Gem? Are you both okay?” Baden’s voice broke as he spoke her name. Baden sensing the weakness in Zac projected the link to Ian. “Luna is with me, I can’t wake her. I don’t know where we are. We are in a silver lined cell, there is nobody here. There is a torture chamber in front of us. Get Derick, something’s wrong with Luna.” Zac whined through the link totally physically and mentally exhausted.
Hearing the yelling from the office as Baden voice suddenly projected into his mind Ian burst through the door. Listening in, he called Derik immediately. Within seconds Derick joined the link as well. Zac winced due to the pain in the back of his head in having such a large mind link. The pain flowed through the link sharing with all connected. Biting back the pain Baden intensified the link to watch through Zac’s eyes.
Derick took over, “touch her forehead.” Baden could feel her through the bond as tears pricked at his eyes. “Take her wrist for her pulse.” After a few long moments Derik continued, “I think she has just been sedated, give her time and she should wake on her own”. Derick spoke through Baden’s mind link to Zac who exhaled in relief, breaking the link to Ian and Derik.
Baden just wanted to watch Gemma, to see her and know she was okay. She was still wearing the dress she wore at the ball from the night she was taken. It was torn and dirty, but still intact. “Baden I’m nearly at my limit, I think I need to rest before I…”
Hearing a creaking sound Zac turned to the only door across the room as it slowly opened. Zac continued the mind link which was heavily strained and started to patch with blackness to watch a dark figure enter. The figure walked to the front of the cell revealing their identity with no hesitation. Zac fell to his knees breaking the mind link being at his limit. “NO”, Baden shouted as the link ended smashing his fist into the solid wooden desk creating a chuck of the wood to break off the table falling to the floor with a harsh thud.
