Chapter 67 – Where did he go?

895 Words

Wiping the steam from the mirror, Gemma watched her reflection with a chip on her shoulder. Eyes zeroing in on her neck, Gemma felt ashamed of herself for allowing Baden to touch it. He should never have to touch or view that area again, if it did not eventually heal properly on it’s own, there would still surely be a way to remove it. Pushing past the thoughts, Gemma hands rose to her lips as memories of last night and this morning came flooding back. The sensation of his lips on her own, his lips on her skin, on the flesh of her neck. He was everything she had remembered, everything she had dreamt of in that basement. At first when she was back, it was like her nightmare was continuing. Like she had lost him when she had lost herself, like there was no path back to what they had shared.
