Eighteen Years Ago… Ezra “Come on, Luna. It’s time to push.” Our pack doctor said as Rosalyn tried her hardest to bring a new life to our world. She had been at this for hours, and I could see how exhausted she was. Her hair stuck to her face as it drenched in sweat, and her breathing was heavier. “I can’t do this! She doesn’t want to come out!” She cried, her white nightgown already bloodied, but there was no sign of our daughter anywhere. “You have to try, my Luna. She’s one stubborn little one. Now, take a deep breath and try to give me the biggest push you can.” She looked at me, nodding her head. “Alpha, she needs you by her side, please.” I headed from the window towards my wife, sitting by her side as I grabbed her hand and kissed her lips, whispering encouraging words at her while taking a damp towel and patting her forehead. It has been over a year since we met, a few months since we married and now we were ready to receive our little girl. The future Alpha of Misty Willow. But we were not the only ones who were battling with this wonderful event. Next door to us, Amara’s screams echoed through the walls, her baby coming into this world at the same time our little Ella was. Two days ago, the same happy and eventful moment happened, when my Beta and his mate had their twins. A boy and a girl, two strong future warriors. “Okay, ready?” Our doctor asked, my eyes meeting Rosalyn’s as she nodded, smiling weakly at me. “Ready,” she replied in a hoarse voice. “Ready, now!” Screaming her lungs out, she finally gave us a hard push, the doctor’s eyes wide open as she put her hands between my mate’s legs, ready to receive our baby. “There she is! Come on, sweet one.” She cooed, Ella falling into her hands before she let out a loud cry, thunder and lightning suddenly appearing in the sky and a storm approaching, hiding the full moon behind the clouds. But I knew my daughter was born under the blessing of the Moon Goddess. The pack waited eagerly outside, and when they heard Ella cry, they all howled to the moon, celebrating the moment. “Such a beautiful girl, your highness. Such a beautiful girl.” After cleaning her and making sure she was breathing fine, which I knew she was, judging by the way she cried, she put Ella in my arms, her big green eyes, just like her mother’s, looking straight at me. “She’s beautiful” I whispered, looking down at Rosalyn, who laid there, her eyes closed. “Rosalyn? Rosalyn!” I moved her, but she was not responding, and I couldn’t help but be afraid. ‘Don’t worry, love. We’re just resting. Give us some time, and we’ll enjoy our little bundle.’ Violet mind linked, making me smile. “Of course, my love. Rest; you deserve it. I’ll keep an eye on little Ella.” I replied, looking back at her, her eyes still attentive towards me. As if she knew who I was. Ella cooed, a beautiful toothless smile escaping her lips while she wrapped her little hand around my finger. The door opened, and Evander walked in, a big smile on his face as we heard the cries of his baby coming through the doors. “It’s a girl.” He smiled, proudly, while he approached me to take a look at my daughter. “Wow, cousin. She’s beautiful. Congratulations. She already looks like a powerful Alpha. She will lead the pack with such grace and strength.” I looked down at Ella one more time and smiled. “Yes, she will. She’ll be stronger than any of us in the pack.” I kissed her little forehead. “And we are proud of Mama for bringing you into this world. Welcome to Misty Willow pack, Ella Atwood. Welcome to your new home.”
