Chapter 1- The bored billionaire

At a private estate where Ferraris, Lambos, Bentleys, and Rolls Royce were parked outside a huge European style mansion. A man in a suit was hurrying to get inside the mansion, this was yelling at the maids who were busy cleaning, asking them " WHERE IS SIR JOHN!".

One of the maids answered the man, " Sir John is in his office at the west wing."

The man immediately started running towards the west wing of the mansion. The sweaty man was running for almost three minutes, he was almost out of breath. But he was able to catch his breath as he had finally arrived at the door of John's office.

The man immediately arranges his suit and wipes his sweat before knocking the door.

A voice suddenly answered, " come in."

The man immediately opened the door and went inside the office. A man with chestnut hair and deep blue eyes who was sitting and reading a book greeted the man who entered the room. “Good afternoon.” The sweaty man immediately greeted back at the man who was sitting.

" Good afternoon Sir John, I have an urgent report about something that needs your attention. "

John who was sitting closed the book he was reading. He then immediately looked at the man and told him.

" I already know what you are going to tell me, it is about a traitor who stole some funds in one of our offices. If you are worried about him, I already took care of him. Let's look at the news, Vincent, maybe that would ease you about this traitor."

John opened his tv in his office, a breaking news theme suddenly showed on the screen of the tv.

A news anchor then went live on air and started to state the breaking news.

[ Good Afternoon everyone, just in a car suddenly burst into flame while driving on the freeway. The car still continued to drive normally, but after a few seconds, the car suddenly exploded. The body of the driver was burned to a crisp that the authorities only got the identity of the driver through his license plate.  Authorities investigation states that the car was having electrical problems. ]

John's phone suddenly rang, John immediately picks up his phone and answered.

" Oh, Dimitri yes, I have seen it on the news you were amazing doing that to him. I am very impressed that you did your job neatly, the police did not even suspect that it was an assassination. For that, I will give your payment today, I would also like to treat you with some vodka tonight. "

John puts his phone away after that conversation, the man who was listening felt fear knowing that his boss could do something like that.

John looks at the man and smiled and spoke, " so the problem is fixed, why don't you stay for some tea? "

Vincent felt fear after seeing a man who just killed someone indirectly was still able to smile.

" That would be lovely sir, I would like to have some especially for this tiring day. "

John pulled a telephone and told his maid through the telephone to bring them tea and snacks.

After a few minutes, a maid entered the room carrying a tray. The maid put tea set on the table after arranging everything she poured tea into the teacups.

John smelled the tea before drinking it, he also picked up a biscuit and dipped it into the tea before biting it.

" So Vincent how is your job I heard that you are having a hard time. Tell me if something is troubling you maybe I can help you. John said these things with a smile on his face. "

Vincent replied to John, " Thank you for your offer sir, but I am able to do my job properly. I can surpass any problem sir to serve you and this company until I retire. "

After that Vincent immediately took a sip of the tea. He was impressed by the taste so he also grabbed a biscuit. But as he is reaching for the biscuit he suddenly felt dizzy, as he looks back at John he noticed that the smile was gone, and was changed to a face of massive disappointment.

Cold sweat trickled through Vincent's spines, he tried to get up but he felt something strange. He felt that his body got heavy and would not stand up, he tried using all of his upper body strength but nothing happened. He just realized that he can not feel his legs anymore, his eyes started to get blurry.

John suddenly spoke with a disappointed voice, " I thought I could trust you Vincent, but after digging deep into your secrets, you seem to have been scheming along with the one I just killed. You were going to split the money and leave the company I let you handled go bankrupt. Such a shame that you will die a pointless death."

Vincent's mouth started to vomit blood, but the maid who did not leave the room immediately covered the mouth of vincent.

John immediately told the maid to dispose of the body.

As the maid left the room, John looked at the window and said these things.

I'm getting bored with this cycle every year, well this is one of the problems being a billionaire a lot of people wants a piece.

I am also getting bored with this lifestyle, I can have anything I want, but it is starting to feel unsatisfying and boring. I hope something can release me from this boredom everything was amazing when I first got this fortune from grandpa. But after a few years, people tried to backstab me and even tried to remove me out of the picture. I wasn't that scared I thought it was fun conspiring to find the people I need to eliminate, but it is the same with my fortune it also started to become boring.

What should I do so I wouldn't be bored, maybe work something on relentlessly big, or go buy something that gets me excited but lost interest when I get tired of it.

Hmmm, ah I guess I'll go with buying something, a new car, Nah! they still haven't released any new models. I know a plane, wait I just bought a new one a month ago. I know something I could relax and be isolated from the others. Aha! a private Island, but where should I buy. I know I will ask my connections to different countries and ask their government.

John started to call multiple politicians from different counties. He was planning on buying an island, but most of the offers he got were already inhabited by people who. John wanted an island that isn't inhabited by humans, he wanted to build something that could stop his boredom.

After a few minutes, John found finally found an island that is in the Pacific ocean. John immediately called his personal chauffeur. He was going straight to the country that owns the Island.

After 30 minutes John already went outside of his mansion. The chauffeur was waiting for  John with a Rolls Royce Phantom.

After 30 minutes they have arrived at John's private airport, where a private jet was waiting. A tall bald man was also waiting at the door of the plane. The man was 6'6 in height and had an athletic body.

Before John entered the plane he spoke to the man.

" Dimitri, sorry for having you come with me even though you just got a task, successfully completed. I hope you don't mind as I promised you a week off, but I will say this now after this you get a week off from work. "

Dimitri replied to John, " I have no complaints about it, Sir John. I owed a big debt to you if you haven't saved me and my mother from the cold streets of  Moscow I don't know if I am here today still breathing. "

John got to his seat where a bottle of champagne was put. He immediately poured some to himself, as he was drinking this champagne the pilot immediately gave a summary of what they're route will be.

The route of the plane as explained by the pilot. From California to Taiwan to refuel. They will then continue their destination to Palau.

John looking at the window of the plane saw the beautiful Island of Palau. As John lands in Palau, a Bentley was waiting in the runway.

John immediately got in along with Dimitri. The driver of the car spoke to John, " Sir I have already prepared the chopper for you and the men we prepared. "

John looked at the driver and answered, " Very good, now how about the payment paid for the Island? "

The driver replied to John, "It has been transferred to the bank of the government. "

" Very good, I never guessed that I would be able to buy this Island from them easily. "

Hearing this statement the driver gave information about why the Island might be sold easily to John.

" I think sir the government is trying to get rid of that Island. I heard sir that the island is beautiful but hard to reach during the typhoon season. Many hard-headed fishermen lost their life to that Island, because of trying to fish there during the typhoon season.  But most of the fishermen didn't give up because during the typhoon season a lot of fish can be caught there."

Hearing this John gave his opinion, " So the government wants to stop the fishermen going there. So by selling it to me, that Island will be a private place, making anyone go there trespassing to one of my private properties. I guess its a win-win situation, the government keeps its citizens from dying and I keep the Island. "

" Basically, Yes replied the driver."

After five minutes the car arrived at a mansion, John immediately went to the helipad along with Dimitri.

At the helipad, three people armed with ak 105 were waiting. Dimitri also got ready and armed himself.

After Dimitri got prepared they got in the chopper and went straight to the Island. While on the chopper John was asking Dimitri.

" Why do you have to bring guns to an uninhabited island? "

Dimitri answered, " Even if it is uninhabited by humans, we might still need precautions if pirates are lurking there. "

The chopper lands on the Island and John along with four men. John started to explore the island with his men, they were exploring for almost two hours in the dense jungle.

Because of this, the men took a break. As John was looking around the massive balete trees (genus ficus) that are wrapped around by vines. He noticed something weird about the two trees he noticed that the vines were covering something he started to get near it and cut the vines of the Balete trees.

To his surprise, it revealed a cave John's adventurous spirit showed. He immediately told Dimitri to enter it with him, Dimitri was hesitant about this idea. But knowing John he cannot say no if something that removes John's boredom is discovered.

So Dimitri along with the three men entered the cave, as they were traveling through the cave they noticed a lot of crystal formation on the cave, but what gets their attention is the colors. It is natural for caves to have a crystal formation that reflects light. But they haven't seen any crystal that is trull made from green, blue, red, and even rainbow-colored.

As they got deeper they noticed a light on the other side. So they decided to just exit there instead of going back.

When they got out of the cave they saw something that made them confused. A castle which seems to be abandoned, and a green small creature lurking around.

Dimitri was shocked about the castle as well as the being, Dimitri immediately prepares his Ak 105 by lowering the safety to a single shot.

Dimitri spoke to John, "Sir this castle isn't on the satellite image so this might be hard to believe we may not be on the island anymore.

John was shocked by Dimitri's conclusions. But John was curious about the green creature lurking holding a spear.

Dimitri didn't know what the creature was, but he looks at it clearly he notices that it fits the description of a goblin in books.

Dimitri told John, " It might be a goblin."

John paused for a while and started to laugh hard, the green creature heard this and immediately looks in their direction.

In a few moments, the goblin started dashing towards John's group.

Seeing the hostile behavior of the creature Dimitri fired at the creature. A loud bang was heard and the creature fell lifeless in the ground.

But the loud noise of the Ak just made everything worst seventeen more goblins carrying knife, spear, and a bow got outside the castle and they looked very angry.

The goblins started to dash to John's group. Dimitri ordered the other three men to also open fire at the goblins. Dimitri aimed at the two goblins carrying the bow and arrow.

Multiple gunshots were heard in the place, the goblins were easily annihilated by John's bodyguard.

The blood can be smelled in the air, John just witnessed a m******e of goblins. John was neither shocked nor scared, he was used killing mercilessly, but he was amazed that such creatures exist.

Dimitri lowers his guard a loud roar was heard inside the castle. This made Dimitri even more cautious along with the three men.

After a few seconds, a green figure showed up. The figure was 8 feet tall and has a rounded belly but bulging muscles in its arm. It is also carrying a club that has spikes in them.

John and his team suddenly felt fear seeing the figure of this massive creature.
