Kira’s POV
Without hesitation, I rammed my knee into Levi’s groin with every ounce of rage I had.
Everyone in the hall gasped. Levi doubled over, a muffled scream turning into a wheeze. “f*****g b***h!”
I reared back to hit him again…fist, elbow, whatever…but right in front of me, Adrian howled…like a real wolf…he howled, and in half a heartbeat, a massive beast charged forward, hackles raised, snarling at Levi.
I froze. My brain short-circuited.
Wait. Wait. Is that a giant dog? No… A wolf?!
Levi straightened, still cupping himself, and laughed…actually laughed…as his own body rippled and popped into a second wolf, blonde fur, red eyes glowing right there in front of me.
Two giant wolves. In the throne room. Staring each other down.
