*David’s Perspective.* “Ok, what is it?” William said as he looked at papers. I stood in front of the large windows in our main office’s meeting room. It was Friday and that meant our weekly meeting with my father. “Nothing.” I said and William turn to me. “It doesn’t look like nothing. You moped the entire car ride. Just tell me what’s wrong. The human girl reject you finally?” Will laughed as he went back to his papers. “No. I have no idea what came over me yesterday.” I said as I walked over taking my seat. Will put his papers down and looked at me. “What?” He said confused. “Well… well I um… we were kissing and it was getting heavy man.” I leaned forward in my chair. “Oh I don’t want to hear this, come on.” Will looked disgusted and lifted the papers back up. “No it didn’t get far. I kissed her neck and then it was like something took over. I almost marked her. I was fighting it, but then I left abruptly.” I said and Will slowly put the papers down as he started to chuckle. “You mean to tell me you left after kissing her a little. With no explanation at all, you just left?” Will asked. “Yes, I told her I would call and I didn’t call or text her. I feel like a *sshole. I sent flowers with the hopes she will text me first.” I said and Will started to full on laugh. “Oh David. I can’t wait to drive your, we’ll soon to be my, old sports car all over town!” William said with a smile from ear to ear. “I still have like a month and a half! More then that!” I said and hit the table. “Then stop being a dumb*ss.” Will said. Before I could reply the doors open. “Well gentlemen! Let’s get this meeting started.” My dad said as him and his minions filed in. *Ryan’s Perspective.* I got to my cubicle and stopped. Another vase of flowers was in front of my computer. I walked over and grabbed the card. “Sorry about yesterday, call me heart.” I read it and sighed. I put the card back on it and grabbed the waste basket and dropped them inside. “Ohhhhhh I can’t wait for girls night now.” I heard Sam’s voice and looked over. She peered over the side of the cubicle. “Sorry, I’m nosy.” She giggled and came around. “Hey.” I said turning on my computer. “Do you wanna talk about it?” Sam asked leaning on my desk. “Not really.” I said. “So you didn’t answer the group text. How do you feel about having the party at your place? Angela has her new puppy and old puppies. Garrett takes up so much space at our place and he’ll want to be included. Tilly and Carol share a place with another girl in customer service. You have your own place.” Sam said and I opened my phone. “Oh I forgot I silenced it last night. That’s fine.” I said replying to the group chat that I was ok with hosting. “Well I’m going to get to work, see you at lunch or later Ryan!” Sam said and walked off. I worked on my stack of papers. Getting things done as fast and efficiently as possible. I worked through lunch and Angela brought me a sandwich with a coffee. I thanked her for her generosity. My phone buzzed and I ignored it. I finished up my work a hour early. I started to eat the food Angela brought and I grabbed my phone. “Hey beautiful! How are you?” David’s message read. I set my phone down ignoring it. “So Ryan!” I heard Angela and turned. “We’ll start showing up around six. Is that ok?” Angela said and I nodded. “Oh yeah. That will give me sometime to whip up the cookies and then we can choose a movie for back ground noise.” I giggled. “Perfect!” Angela said and looked over. “All done for the day?” She asked and I nodded. “Yeah I just finished. Waiting on the reports to download.” I said. “After you can take off.” Angela said and before I could reply, I saw Audra. “Excuse me Angela. Here you are.” Audra handed me a piece of paper. “Audra! We’re having a girls night. Would you like to come?” Angela asked and I opened the paper. “I would come see you, but I’m stuck in Seattle in a meeting. Message me when you find the time.” It was obviously from David. I looked back at them. “You know Will.” They both laughed and Audra looked at me. “Do I reply to you or to him?” I asked and she looked confused. “I would assume him?” Audra said. “Rumor is they had a tiff.” Angela whispered and Audra looked from Angela to me. “I think I’ll head out now. See you tonight Ang.” I said walking past them. I walked home and got into my house. I only had a couple hours before the girls night started. I tidied up and started on my cookies. I was getting everything mixed when I heard my phone buzz. I looked at the clock and saw it was close to people to arrive. I grabbed the phone and looked. I saw a missed call from David and a new message. “I’m going to call again in a few minutes, please pick up.” The message read and I started to feel bad for ignoring him. “Please don’t call, I’m getting ready for company to come any minute.” I wrote and sent. I set the phone down and started scooping the cookies onto a tray. I heard my phone buzzing and before I could grab it, the door bell rang.
