“I barely slept ok!” I yelled out to the living room. Tonya was here early to help me get ready and possibly catch a glimpse of a Featherman as she put it. “You look like it! Hurry and get dressed so we can do your make up!” She called to me. “Are you sure I should wear a dress? Not something more business casual?” I said slipping into a cute little dress Tonya had brought over. “Trust me! This is my interview dress. It has never failed me!” She said walking in. “See you’re gorgeous!” She said putting down a white sweater top. “Thanks I guess. I feel like I’m getting ready for a date.” I said looking at her. “Nonsense. You still look professional.” Tonya said messing with my hair. “How are you wearing this?” She asked and I swatted at her hands. “I’m going to straighten it and leave it down.” I said and she shook her head. “No. No way.” She said walking over and rummaging through my stuff. “What are you looking for?” I asked and she paused. “Hair stuff.” She said finding a bag Matt had filled with my hair accessories. She sighed and looked at me. “You have like nothing in here.” She said and I shrugged. “I’ve never needed anything.” I said as I went and sat at my vanity. She started brushing my hair as I got to work on my face. “You need to invest. What if this is as his personal assistant!” Tonya got excited. “I don’t think so. Honestly you’re dressing me for a date! I feel it.” I said sarcastically. “I want you to look beautiful! I won’t apologize for that!” Tonya held the brush up like it was a sword and made a determined face. I shook my head as we finished getting me ready. I looked in the mirror. “I have a head band around here.” I said looking around my stuff. “Found it!” I slipped it on and looked in the mirror again. “Beautiful!” Tonya gleamed at me. “I look like I’m going on a date!” I said annoyed. “You look nice and that’s what matters!” Tonya said and then we heard a knock at the door. “Sh*t what time is it?” I said grabbing my stuff. “I’ll grab it, hurry.” Tonya said making her way to the door. I threw what I may need into my purse and made my way out to the living room. “Ms. Williams I presume?” A man in a nice suit said. “Oh yes.” I said and he bowed. I looked at Tonya in utter confusion. “I’m your driver. You can call me Hunter. I’m quite new, so I’m not sure if this is ok?” He said looking between us. “It’s ok Hunter.” I said and he looked around. “Do you need anything?” I asked. “Your bag?” He asked. “Bag?” Tonya asked. “I wasn’t told anything about packing a bag.” I said shrugging. “Oh it’s a hour trip there, the meeting was a meet and tour I heard. I think they intended you to stay the night.” Hunter said looking between us. “I can throw things in a bag quickly.” I said going back. Tonya followed me and I pulled out my small suit case. We started throwing what ever we could find into it. “That will have to do!” Tonya said. “I guess so.” I said now worrying this was becoming a long trip. “Keep your phone on. Oh! A charger!” She grabbed my charger and handed it to me. “Call me!” She said as she pushed me to the door. Hunter was looking at his watch. “We must hurry! We are running ten minutes behind schedule.” Hunter said. “I’m ready to go.” I said pulling my suitcase forward. Hunter picked it up with ease and headed out. “Call me!” Tonya said ushering me out the door. “Ok! Here’s my key. Stay the night if you like.” I said and she squealed. “My mom and her boyfriend will thank you later.” She said as I walked down to a town car. Hunter held the door for me and I sat in. “There’s drinks and snacks back there for you. Mr. Featherman wanted this to be a comfortable trip.” Hunter said as we pulled out. “How many Featherman’s are there?” I asked and Hunter looked at me in the review mirror. “Well, there’s Clive. He’s runs the business in Seattle. He’s William, David, and George’s father. George is the oldest and he’s the…” Hunter looked like he was choosing his words. “The head of the town in Ironridge.” “Wait Ironridge is a place? I thought it was a company.” I said and Hunter was somewhat silent. “The company is named after the town.” He said. “Oh, that’s interesting.” I thought about the different businesses named for the town or place they originate. “I’m surprised you don’t know much about Ironridge.” Hunter said. “Why?” I asked. “Because, not everyone is invited to the town to work for the leaders.” Hunter paused. “I mean the bosses.” He said quickly. “Oh, I’m newer to this area I would say. I’ve lived in Seattle for maybe three years. I grew up in Arizona.” I said and Hunter slowly nodded. “I’m going to put on some music miss, best let Mr. Featherman answer any questions you have.” Hunter said as the radio turned on. “O-ok.” I said confused. Tonya was right, they were like the mob or something.
