Liam's POV
I took off for my run, feeling like a complete ass. I shouldn't have talked to Natasha like that. All she's done is help me, and I was a cold-hearted prick when she tried to get to know me. I just assumed she was hitting on me when all she could have been doing was trying to be friendly. Could I be any more arrogant? I'm just glad my mother wasn't here to witness me behaving like that. She hasn't left my dad side since he got checked into the hospital. She never left even when the elders made me alpha.
As soon as I got to the tree line, I got a whiff of Deans scent. It was fresh. If he was here, why didn't he come up the pack house? Why is he staying hidden? I didn't understand the meaning behind all of this.
