Ravenwood

Taking in their appearances the electricity in the room didn’t fade, the hairs on my neck stood even taller if that was even possible. My eyes couldn’t stop going back to the blue tattoo peeking out of 6ft 1 black haired dude, something was defiantly different about them. As if they could feel my stare more than other’s they all looked towards me at the same time… I swear I could see my breath in the air because of how cold the shiver that was running up my spine from how intent their stare was. I didn’t look away, I couldn’t. From one set of eyes to the next, one at a time until they landed on the black haired guy once again. I don’t know what it is about him more than the other’s but my eyes kept drifting to him. I will admit he was beautiful. They all were in their own ways but him more than the others, but I knew I couldn’t let the beauty of his looks distract me from the off feeling I got from them and how that tattoo defiantly doesn’t strike me as human which got under my skin even more, what would nonhumans be here for? I know I’m nonhuman, kind of but I still had more human in me than eighty percent of the supernatural world. The twenty percent that did, they were half breeds. Only half supernatural and usually they were very weak and frowned upon.  Being lost in my own thoughts I didn’t realise that the four possibly unhuman boys had walked over to our table. Staring down at me was four pairs of eyes, piercing through my flesh, it’s like they could see straight through me, read every thought I was having. It was unsettling to say the least. Slowly moving my eyes down, I tried to take in all the detail I could of the tattoo. From the little part that I could actually see it seemed like there was a shield in the design. What was on the corner of the shield is what got me taking a sharp inhale of air, the eye of a wizard with a dagger doing through the middle of it. Usually the ye of the wizard indicates that obviously you are a wizard yourself but the dagger through it means Wizard killer or hater, they were not on the side of wizards or witches. This meant that they or he was not human and he was not in favour of one part of my kind.  “Hello? You gonna speak Lass?” Said a thick gravely English accent, whipping my eyes up I starred back at the red head with green nail polish smirking at me. “Arh excuse me?” is all I could manage, coughing slightly to clear my throat I tried again, “Can I help you?” this rewarded me with more snickers and laughs. Did I miss something?  “Yeah you could answer the question” Came another English accent but this one wasn’t gravely it was strong and deep. It also belonged to the black haired guy with the wizard hater tattoo that I couldn’t stop staring at or thinking about. “I’m sorry I didn’t hear your question but who the hell are you?” Yes I was probably coming off a little rude now but come on who are these guys and who are they to laugh at me? Gosh I feel like I probably sound pathetic right now. Before they replied to me all four of them sat down at our table, the air got thick and all of my friends went quite. I was about to asked what they wanted again when one of the twins spoke, “We already told you we are the Ravenwood brothers” My eyes went wide, the Ravenwood brothers. My gosh I had never actually met one of them in the flesh before they are the Ravenwood’s that humans talk about in their horror stories and the Ravenwood’s that the supernatural thought were a legend, only real in your history books not actually in the flesh. “The Ravenwood’s?” I asked slightly breathless, grabbing onto my mistake I squared my shoulders and added, “Like the one’s from the horror stories with the bloodlust?” I tried adding as much sarcasm into my tone as possible so they thought I was just a silly human teenage girl joking about the horror stories we were told as kids. “No, the Ravenwood’s that seek the supernatural from the legend books” said the wizard hater tattoo guy. I literally felt all the blood drain from my body, they know I’m not human and that was a direct and obvious way of them letting me know. Before I could reply with anything I heard, “Hey Darlin’ can I borrow you for a sec?” Looking to my left I see Gray standing there in all his beautiful glory, looking straight at me with a stone-faced expression. He didn’t look like he was in the mood to be messed with, he looked dangerous and for some reason I liked it, just maybe not when it’s pointed at me. “Um yeah sure” I said wish a raised eyebrow showing my confusion to him, but he was to busy assess every detail about the four new guys who knew about me apparently and just happen to be the Ravenwood’s, sweet. Getting up from the table I follow Gray out of the cafeteria and into the empty hallway’s, walking in silence until we reached an empty classroom that we entered, he locked the door behind us making me look at him closely wondering what he was up to.   “Why did you lock the door and what did you want to borrow me for?” I asked not taking my eyes off of his face. Gray ran his hand through his thick brown hair, let out a long breath and then finally looked at me. “I need you to be careful around those brother’s Emilia” His tone was deep, troubled but serious. His face was set in a serious scroll that told me not to mess with him or push back at him. His eyes just like his voice gave off a troubled look, but there was something else. Panic? Worry? Anger? Care? I couldn’t tell but it was something that got under my skin and made me want to reassure him I’d listen to him that everything would be okay, it made me want to run my hand over his stubble and up into his hair to play with those beautiful brown strands. Just those thoughts alone had me shocked and doing the complete opposite, plus the fact that I needed to know why he was saying this to me. “Who are you to tell me what to do? And I don’t see how it’s any of your business Gray”
