chapter 3 what am I getting into

Eleanor's eyes were huge "who the heck is that?" Eleanor whispered still staring at Roger . "ugggg, really Eleanor?" I could not  hide my dislike of Roger  Eleanor turned to look at me in surprise , "what? do you know him? who is he?" Eleanor has turned back around to watch as Roger made his way over to us with his usual smirk on his face . " that would be my super a** cousin Roger , he also happens to be the future alfa of our pack, but really Eleanor he is probably just as much of a jerk as Tiffany, actually they are pretty much the same person except as the opposite s*x" 

At this point Roger was standing in front of us. "hey, Tina I see you seem to have gotten dressed in the dark , what are you even wearing? are you trying to fit into Ashley's shirt or something? " I really wanted to smack the smirk off of Roger's face so badly as I felt my face heating up . " so are you going to introduce me to your friend of what ?" he jeered at me , I really hate who my cousin has turned into , " Eleanor, this is my cousin Roger future alfa , Roger this is Eleanor , she just joined the pack a few weeks ago, I am surprised Tio did not say anything to you , you know since you are going to be the alpha someday you know I would assume that would be important information " I really love getting under Roger's skin and I knew that his dad not telling him pack information really got to him. " ummm Hi, yea like Tina said I just joined the pack a few weeks ago we moved here from a Pack in California my dad just got a new job out here , and now I am rambling" Eleanor had been turning red as soon as she had started talking and now she was the shade of a tomato It was pretty funny, but I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach , it was so not good that she seemed so interested in Roger and he was looking at her like she was the most amazing person he had ever spoken to . 

Eleanor glanced over at me and looked like she was about to puke if I did not save her from herself. luckily Mr Alvarez saved us both as I really did not want to get involved with this conversation anymore then I had already.  " alright everyone take a seat,  we are going to go over our syllabus for the year and what I expect from you all"  unfortunately for me Roger took the empty seat right on Eleanors other side and was what looked like to me writing a note or , oh jeez his number on a piece of paper,  I watched in horror as Roger handed the piece of paper to Eleanor and gave me a smirk as he saw me watching the entire thing happen , whatever I was not going to lose the only friend I had seemed to make since High School started , I do not care if she is apparently crazy and seems to think my moronic cousin is for whatever reason attractive,I really had a bad feeling about the whole situation though , we are all about the age we start finding our mates and just by watching my cousin I knew that this was different then how he usually acted with the girls who are always throwing themselves at him . Mr Alvarez was saying something about year end group projects and him assigning the groups , well thats something at least it was always awful and super embarrassing when we had to do group projects and the teachers always had to force a group to add me because no one wanted to let me join when I would ask myself. 

    I quickly scribbled my own note on a sheet of paper and handed it to her . Hey we have a home coming game in a few weeks and Roger is the quarter back you should ask him about the game and we can go watch if you want, I really do not mind at all if you are interested in him even though he is kind of a jerk.  Eleanor read the note and grinned at me . I knew that she had been a little nervous about talking to me about Roger as soon as i expressed my disdain in him and I really did not want to lose my only friend so soon after finally having one, besides if they were nothing more then interested in each other it will not take long for Eleanor to see for herself how much of a jerk he was and if for whatever reason they were more then just interested I was going to have to get used to Roger being around . Eleanor was writing a note back on the sheet of paper . For sure we need to go to the game , and you do know I am not planning on ditching you just because you and your cousin do not seem to get along very well, who knows maybe we will all become best friends ;)  I read the message and seriously laughed out loud earning a glare from Mr Alvarez . " what exactly did you find so amusing about the group project Tina ?" he asked and of course the entire class had to turn to stare at me as I turned red " Nothing Mr Alvarez sorry , sorry I was just thinking about my other class " I said shrinking into my seat, I hate when teachers do that I mean really what do they get out of embarrassing students anyways . Roger seemed super interested in the note passing going on between me and Eleanor , I felt then was a good time to kick her so she would get the hint and look at Roger who was giving me a death glare probably thinking I was trying to prevent his newest obsession from talking to him, I of course felt that was the best time to stick my tongue out at him and then smirk. oh this was just too much fun , I finally had a advantage over my cousin and of course I was going to enjoy it for as long as I could . 

    The bell finally rang for the end of class and I grabbed my stuff as fast as I could grabbing Eleanors hand as I made a break for the door , I did not want Roger to catch up to us before I had a chance to talk to her first. " ok here is the deal, this is the first time I have seen my cousin act like he actually liked a girl and he does not even know you so i really think that you should give him a chance especially if you are interested in getting to know him better, I mean as long as you do not end up ditching me I mean"  I do not know why I felt like I had any say in the situation  " you know I just kind of want to meet as many people as I can and really he is hot , I do not know I feel like a pull to him , and like i said I am not going to ditch my first friend here just for some guy , nothing to worry about." she replied, just " Yea, its just that really you are my first friend in a long time , but I seriously think we should go to the home coming game , and you should text Roger to let him know you want to go, besides there is always a killer party after the game, or I have heard anyways not that i have had a chance to ever go, but it might actually be fun"  I gave her a encouraging smile as she pulled her phone out of her pocket and quickly typed out a text to my cousin and sent it .
