A Walk
Amother and a most important daily event was a walk, which in winter and in summer, regardless of heat and frost, was equally wanted, even in spite of the fact that in Lefortovo detention center it was not similar to walks in other penitentiaries of the kind.
The walk could start in different ways; it was a rite for every prisoner. Primarily, it was an opportunity to pass time and dream of something sacred and get away for a while. It was a chance to walk non-stop, not far, just a few meters to and fro, listening to music, and get away through walls into your own fantasies.
A special prison corridor guard was in charge of this procedure. His surname was like a funny nickname Andryusha. He would often go on the booze, and that affected his looks, and mainly expressed in shortness
