Court Prelude It was awfully stuffy and hot in the cell, even despite the fan obtained and allowed to the detention center thanks to the possibilities of the businessman inmate. Also thanks to him we had quite a lot of food brought from outside. This meant that it was possible not to eat sickening local balanda, but enjoy homemade dishes. We came to this decision, when one more time we saw pig skin with hairs in the prison soup bowl. It was better to starve than to decay and become animals. In our cell, or khata, there was also a small TV set, which we were absorbed in all day long, watching different television series. When the broadcast programs were boring, we would switch over to playing games like nardes or chess. Time was flying by. Those days it could seem that everything was fine
