Voronezh Four days of infernal travelling finally ended, and our train arrived in the city of Voronezh. At the station there was another exchange of convicts between convoy services. We, according to ‘the purchased tickets, were delivered to the local detention centers centers. I had to go to the most important Voronezhsky ‘central’ number one. It was during the very small hours. The world was still enveloped in darkness. And the convoy’s watch showed four o’clock in the morning. Detention center staff did not hurry to meet anyone, and due to that our autozak was standing idle near the gate of the prison. Yet the sleepy guards reluctantly decided to fulfill their duties and took us into their arms. Of course, at first they started to search us with the enthusiasm of treasure hunters. Ea
