Chapter Eighteen Ruhi felt exhausted in her dream. She knew that morning had turned to afternoon because she could feel the sun on her cheek. But she was cold. Why was it so cold? Her eyes refused to open. Until a trail of heat touched her brow. Her awareness tracked that heat. Across her forehead, down her jaw, back behind her ear. Then it was gone. Ruhi blinked her eyes open in search of the heat and found Sean. His brown skin positively glowed in the afternoon sunlight. His hazel eyes were like stars shining solely for her. She wanted to curl up and burrow deep in his feather-light embrace. But he jerked his hand away from her face, and he looked down, shutting off her view of the twin stars.
