Getting Back Home Became a Dream

502 Words
Everyone was overmuch tired, they could not open their eyes anymore. Exhaustion overcame their weary bodies. One by one, they drifted into a peaceful sleep, laying their bodies on the grass under the tall trees. Again, the old man surprised his friends on the journey with his wisdom and overmuch care. "We can't all sleep at a time. We will be trapped for sure. Wake up for your precious lives. Don't be so much careless. Divisioning us apart is not an option here. We need ten heroes who should keep open eyes watching any kind of danger from terrible beasts and the rest can go to sleep. And they exchanged one more time until the break of dawn." It wasn't a bad night, as it was supposed to be. Folks were lucky enough to keep safe on the jungle island. Destiny was unlike their expectations. And dreams were driven to their eyes, providing calmness and patience for a new good upcoming day. Finally, light rays appeared in the sky, bringing the sun on its way just to turn its face with a merciful look at those who suffered a crazy night, full of trepidation, panic, and terror from everything around. They had no doubt about the painful death they would be facing. The sky was clear, with no clouds, and the sun seemed to be extremely shiny that day as it was coming up time after time. Good people started to wake up. Once they got up, they felt as if they were one big family. Love combines their hearts. They held hands tightly, their voices carrying through the sunlight. "Keep going!" they cheered, their unity strong. Meanwhile, they declared they had to find any kind of food and a water source. Their tummies were literally rumbling and deadly thirsty. Everybody tried to fetch any fruit that might be existing up high in the tangled trees. They widely spread on the land to get breakfast and find a lake, to store as much as they can in the bottles and bags they had in their luggage. A young man grabbed his hands together to make his voice travel far to reach the entire tribe all over the island. "If you find a lake, control your thirst, and approach very slowly, your footsteps should be soundless. Watch carefully for the beasts and wild animals. They should be there drinking too already." With eyes fixed on the horizon, much excitement bubbled as land emerged from the none, but it was far enough to make it so risky to reach. A large number of the group, thought of sailing once again towards it with newfound hope, ready to step ashore and start anew. Explaining that being on this island is a fatal mistake and that they were supposed to be on Bouvet Island already, camping and playing with all the lot of fun they planned for. The rest -who were not few- felt dreadful and scared of the bad experience they had a day ago.
