Chapter 6

Sitting in the park alone she got a notification on her phone" Bonfire tonight be there" it was from Jake. The infatuation she had for her r****t was concerning. She immediately followed his words and soon found herself at the bonfire. It was crazy how she obeyed him the way she did.

She drank and partied that night hard until she could barley stand. Lily was there too to look after her sitting on a tree stump drinking as well. She looked after Nami the whole night her eyes never leaving hers. Later on Jake and his friends dragged a drunk Nami to the woods behind the bonfire and Lily followed closely behind. When Lloyd spotted Lily he grabbed her and wrapped his hand over her mouth so she wouldn't make a sound. "Well well well two s*x-dolls in one night... We must be lucky" Lloyd said and pushed Lily against the tree Nami was drunk but when she saw this she faught hard against Jake picking up a broken off branch nearby and hit both Jake Lloyd and James she grabbed Lily's hand and ran out of the woods away from the bonfire until they were out of sight.

Once on the lonely forest road Nami stopped and turned to Lily. "I'm sorry I'm so sorry I... You shouldn't have been here Lil you should be home" Nami smelled like alcohol but she was still bothered about Lily looking round seeing nothing but road and trees the two started walking. Nami complain about her parents and sister to Lily that she didn't even notice the car approach.

Skkkrrrtttt!!!! Boom!!! Bam!!!! Pow!!! Skrrrrrtttttt!! Tbe sound of tires gliding on the tar road.

One moment Nami was walking home with Lily the next moment she woke up in her room on her bed the sun shining on her face hungover head hurting pajamas on her body she was confused as hell aboit what was going on. She sat up and suddenly her room door burst open "Oh my gosh Nami are you okay!!... Where did you dissappear to ? What the hell happened last night?" Lily asked as she checked Nami for any injuries. Nami looked at her as if she was the most insane and deranged person in the world right now. Pushing Lily's hands off of her body." Oh my gosh stop Lily damn I'm fine you're acting as if some f****d up s**t happened last night" Lily looked at Nami as if her best friend had completely lost the plot. "Babes you were hit by a car last night you pushed me out of the way before the crash happened and then YOU got hit instead of me"

Nami's breath stopped for a split second and Lily continued...

"The driver hit you I saw it with my own eyes but then it was like a pair of wings wrapped around you and then a light became so bright around you the driver and me both had to close our eyes and the next second you were just... Gone"

Nami looked at her friend for a moment there was silent Before she burst out laughing "Oh my Lily I think you're still pretty drunk... So you're telling me I got hit last night and something or someone protected me and somehow brought me home?"

Her laughter continued but Lily was completely serious.

"Then how did you get home?" Lily asked. "Obviously I walked I'm not stupid" Lily sighed and sat next to Nami on the bed. "Look you know I don't believe in this and I might sound crazy right now but I think... God protected you last night". Nami instantly pulled her hand back and looked at Lily disgusted.

"Stop! GOD doesn't exist and you're insane if you think he" protected"me. I WALKED home and that's it God doesn't care about anyone but himself!! Now excuse me I gotta go wash myself"

Lily ran up to Nami's bathroom door and leaned her forhead against it. "Look Namnam I know you don't believe me I don't believe in these things either but last night you just dissapeared and it was scary I thought maybe you fell in the ditch but the driver and I looked everywhere for you and look right now you're just at home unharmed... If that wasn't a Angel that protected you last night then I'm the most insane person to ever exist!" and with that said Lily just left withoit a goodbye nothing she just walked away.

Nami came out of the bathroom... Just what if... What if this time God really did protect her? Because he failed last time...

She slowly started dressing herseld thinking that maybe just maybe it could have been Him... But no why now? Why this exact moment? Why not when she really needed Him?

She stared at the Bible unopened on her nightstand the one she faught her parents to buy for her the one that caught her eye the exact moment she walked into the store the one she adored more than life itself now closed hasn't been touched in months and hasn't been read in months she could barley remember the last time she read a bible verse... Everything was just so... Painful and blurry to her...

She stared at it for a full few minutes before she flopped onto her bed and decided to start reading again. Taking out her notebook and pen and she opened the bible to a verse... "Romans 8:8 The pain you feel now can't compare to the joy that is coming"... Immediately she burst into tears this was not what she was expecting to read. She wrote it down and she kept ready on and on and on she hadn't noticed when the sun started setting. She got off her bed threw a pillow on the floor and got on her knees.

"Jesus... I'm. Mad I'm so freaking mad at you I'm furious at what you let happened to me but... Help me to not be swallowed by it for the rest of my life. I don't know what you want me to say but..."

She took a deep breath hand folded and trembling as she lowered her head her breath shaking...

" I forgive him"

When those words left her mouth she cried out to Jesus. She never expected the relief to be felt so instant.

"I forgive him"

She said and cried there until she felt satisfied with her emotions. She got back up and sat and stared at her phone.

There shone the name... Lily.
